This is such an enjoyable video to watch. I love the variations in fabric! I have saved it to watch again, as I start the process this week!

Great way of limiting the palette and be creative. I find I get overwhelmed looking at so many fabrics so this is something i will like to try. Thanks for the video.

How does spacing of motifs and how much background there is affect your choice? I'd have preferred more about fabric choice, the title of the video.

So when you say "You just sew the strips together". You mean you are sewing together only the 3 triangles, next sew that end to the next pattern of 3 triangles (to make the start of a row.). When the row is done you match those halves to their mates ?

So if we need six panels, does that mean we would need 4-1/2 yards of a continuous fabric? Doing the math :-) Thank you for this awesome video!
@lindabardes99746 жыл бұрын
It depends on the size of the panel you want to use. Think in terms of 6 repeats, whether panels or yardage, plus maybe a repeat or a yard extra in case you want to use it in the borders, or put it on the back to show the uncut fabric.

Could this be hand pieced? Thank you
@poodledoodlequilter64794 жыл бұрын
Yes you can hand piece this I hand piece every quilt I make I personally enjoy the process if I can help let me know
@lorraineapolon30874 жыл бұрын
@@poodledoodlequilter6479 Than you for your reply, do you use the english paper piecing method with papers or do you just hand sew as per the instruction in the book, I am concerned that distortion may occur without the paper
@poodledoodlequilter64794 жыл бұрын
@@lorraineapolon3087 Hello, I don't paper piece, I just draw a faint line with a pencil at a quarter of an inch from the edge on the wrong side of the fabric and sew a running stitch. I handle the fabric with care and I found I seldom have a problem, there are a few videos on KZfaq that shows hand piecing. I have made all different types of quilts and I find if I cut and mark it comes out just as nice as a machine stitch. I hope this helps if need anymore help add gmail dot com to poodledoodlequilter just let me know take care. Jeri.

What are the steps? How to cut, what size, You really didn't tell us too much . It is busy for sure .Could hurt your eyes if you aren't careful. We do have to make things up everyone gets tired of the same old thing. Very pretty Buy the book !!!!!
