excited and nervous to show u guys this one!! it's been in the works for quite a while 🏃‍♀️ 💨
i've had a couple of pretty rough months this year and had my spirits for drawing wane on and off, and ultimately i'm glad i've come back to it!! drawing and animating really makes me happy hehe 🐛
always so surprised that people enjoy what i make... i'm really grateful to have the people around me be so supportive (that includes you!!) and it always brings me back to why i love making art so much. i hope u enjoy this little short! 🌼 have a great day ahead ^_^

You are by far my favourite animator. I love your world building, your expressions, the art style, tone and pacing, the music... everything is just so peaceful and heartwarming. It's amazing how you don't need a full show to understand these characters. Maybe it's just because we're already familiar with them, but I don't think so---I think Shar's animations are always just so expressive and heartfelt and fun. She can do in minutes what some full-length romcoms take full seasons to do, and I think that's incredible.

I think part of that is not just that we're familiar with these characters, but that we're familiar with Shar's versions at this point since she's been animating them for so long. We've been drip fed these characters and it's made them feel so much more real since experiencing something over a longer period of time makes the story in it feel longer

That might be because of tropes. We have seen characters get flustered and panic (as well as people) when they see their crush. We see friends and siblings annoy each other. We do text messages. She only needs to vaguely gesture at everything for us to understand exactly what is going on

I personally headcanon these AU type dealios that, they still have their powers and whatnot, that knowledge is simply lost to time, so if Link ever picks up a sword, he'll just be insanely stupendously good with it and nobody will believe that he's never used one before.

My favorite part is the picture Link responds with, him just giving a thumbs-up. That is SO him 💕 plus, the angle of the picture is really convincing, along with the slight blur, and the sort of muddied colors from him being outside at night. Along with the emotional intention of your work (even if the emotion is “aww, these dorks…”), those lifelike details and thoughtful touches really show what a talented artist you are 🌟🌟🌟
