When I was in 3rd grade, I was walking home from school (I lived at a trailer park town at the time) & saw a Ruby cartridge in the sand. I picked it up & it was saved at the Elite Four. I showed it to an older kid who sold ice cream in the neighborhood. He played it first & lost, then I played it without having ever played Pokemon before, not healing or even knowing how to play. I ended up beating Steven, & that means the first time I ever played Pokemon I became champion. I've been a fan of Pokemon ever since.

I grew up with Sapphire. When i was 6, my parents bought me a GBA-SP at a garage sale. With it came pokémon sapphire. I played it...probably countless times. I accidentally left it at a friends house once, and forgot to get it back. He moved, and it got lost. I was 9. Then, in 2017, for my 14th birthday, my parents bought me Alpha Sapphire. (actually it might have been for like my 15th birthday, 2017 or 18, not sure.) And god, i’ve never loved a game more.

My first Pokemon game was Ruby. Truth was I didn't know much about Pokemon games when I first started playing Ruby version. I also didn't know what Shiny Pokemon was back then. I had hard time finding certain locations. I remember my first starter was Torchic and I love Altaria, happy that it got Mega Evolution. Looking back sure brings back good old memories, first Pokemon game that I completed the National Dex was Alpha Sapphire. Such great memories. Looking back, Ruby and Sapphire didn't had much post-game back then. 😊🤔

This is in my opinion the best game in the series. Great story, unique region, tons of Pokémon, great post game (although I think ultra sun and moon have the best post game) And amazing characters. I’ve never played the original but this remake is in my opinion the most solid entry in the series and barely any flaws.

You know what, I think I may have completely forgotten to explore the S.S. Tidal in ORAS. I don't remember battling a Tauros and Miltank, and certainly don't remember seeing Drake. I'm not sure how I managed to miss all of that when I spent so many hours playing the game! Something to check out in a new playthrough...

AWESOME VIDS, as a a gen 1 and 2 pokemon kid I never played gens 3-6 and am just now picking up and playing some of these games and these vids really help determine which versions of the games to buy. As a pokemon fan thank you for all the time and effort you put into making these vids.

I just took a look at the remodel of Mauville City and after my trip from Hong Kong, it just screams to me the similarity on the apartment layouts. The bottom floors are all shops and cafés while the top are all apartments.

Replaying oras right now, I've got so much love so these games, I honestly see them as the best games they have managed to make so far. So many improvements and it was the game that got me into competitive, really recaptured the feeling of the originals games. I might be in the minority here but I miss megas, the fact that the stats and abilities changed would often keep you guessing when playing other people created a really interesting battle dynamic tho I admit some where just too op.

ORAS was such a nice game, it rekindled my interest in pokémon and was so accessible, it made me create a living dex too. Loved flying around the map, especially at night.
