@@trey6581that’s what Canelo’s been doing for a decade, fighting the best. Took on all the best fighters from 154lbs-175lbs with Beterbiev being the exception. David ain’t done shit, he’s never unified, he’s not even a champion and his best win is a feather fisted chin cracked Plant whom he couldn’t put away. Benavidez does nothing for Canelo’s legacy. The only fights the enhanced his legacy are the two Russians at 175lbs.

Bro never pursued Callum Smith or Billy Joe Saunders, chose to “marinate” fighting Caleb Plant until Canelo KO’d him, chose to duck mandatory vs Beterbiev, never pursued Bivol, chose to fight old, inactive, pillow punching bum Andrade instead of David Morrell Jr whom he “signed to fight”, now “marinating” fighting David Morrell Jr, cherry picked Gvozdyk justifying it as mandatory vs Beterbiev/Bivol winner...then immediately said he wanted Canelo at 168….but still needs a couple weeks to decide if he really, really wants Canelo at 168…im good off that dude.

Nobody’s questioning Canelo’s legacy! As a fellow Mexican, we just wanna see that dude fight the #1 contender in this case it would be Benavidez! If not then Canelo should just vacate the belts(in reality the sanctioning body’s should’ve already stripped him) and let other contenders fight for them but instead he wants to hold all 4 belts and cherry pick easy contenders! IBFP according to David Benavidez on his post fight interview in his most recent fight he stated that he hurt both of the ligaments in his hands in that training camp. Now if this is true, he would need time to recover which means he wouldnt be fighting in septemper. Now, would you prefer he fights Canelo injured? Or Canelo takes a tune up fight while Benavidez recovers?

The price is ridiculous tho. It’s 5 times more than the biggest purse he’s ever received - including his GGG fights. Benavidez is easily his best challenger right now but he’s not GGG status yet. Still No other fight makes Canelo as much money right now as Benavidez would (maybe Crawford) but he’s not getting $200m or even $100m for either fight or any other fight.

Bad fight, but tbh there we have to take in count -Benavidez (supposedly) injured on the hands, and those things really take time to heal and the weightcut will not help at all so rn Bena cant be next fight, after this Edgar fight Bena should be next imo unless he stays at 175

I think he’s letting the fight.marinade I mean, if you turn down the fight against Crawford, that that the Saudis are trying to offer 100s of millions to fight and he gave step a side money against his mandatory scull he’s not gonna fight Berlanga or Charlo mike capenter did say the fight might be happening. He wasn’t for sure. It’s all about Canelo and what he wants and when Canelo announces.

Canelo fighting his Mandatory is acceptable, but it don't mean I wanna see him pummel Scull. Canelo fighting Berlanga makes financial sense, but I don't wanna see him pummel Berlanga. If Benavidez the hamburgler comes back to 68, that's the only acceptable fight. If Canelo goes to 75 though, he should go get his lick back from Bivol.

Im a Canelo fan but I wanna see Canelo knock the burgers off Benavidez. Berlanga is a C level prospect level boxer who got dropped by uberdrivers. Mexicans will buy it regardless because Mexico vs Puerto Rico rivalry and he has a loyal fanbase. You atleast kept your word. I have nothing else to say.

When Mungia got the fight, I was fine with it because he and david both had a similar opponent to Canelo with the only difference being Mungia outperforming canelo while David underperforming, so him getting the fight was justifiable. If Berlanga or Charlo get the fight then it s just laughable, assuming David stays in 168. If he leaves the division for good then no reason to wish for it when he was just clout chasing the whole time.

Like I said Canelo don’t have to proof crap anymore, he can retire now and he is a true legend. He can fight and do whatever the hell he wants. I may not agree with some of the fights but he can do whatever. Also I believe he will fight Benavidez at some point. Maybe 🤔 his last fight of his career to basically cash out! Everyone does that.
