It’s actually the other way around. Canelo was well know in Mexico but golden boy brought a spotlight onto canelo after all their fighters started leaving the promotion and nearly going bankrupt. So canelo was the best thing to happen to not just golden boy but to canelo as well. Canelo and Oscar only have bad blood because of Oscar’s addiction and attempts to steal peoples hard earned money.

Listen I’m a Canelo fan but Oscar put Canelo in his place today…. It doesn’t mean that what Oscar and his promotions are in the right…seems there was some money issues and that’s where canelo’s bitterness comes from and that’s valid but they took care of it through legal matters and it’s been a while now and at this point he seems like a bitter ex.
