Correct. The transators job is to say in another language. And the translator ommited translating the part where Canelo said to his Adversary thst he was sorry about what he said about Plants mother. So when Canelo said and then and then to his translator. He was urging his translator to also add the part where he told plant for forgivness for talking about Plants mom.

The translator didn't translate everything 2:36 Canelo refused to let it slide 😂 Here's what canelo really said: "He came to me, he said that he wanted to continue. In my view, Canelo thinks the insult "motherf**er" in english is equivalent to "chinga tu madre" in México, which is a very strong insult that usually ends in fist fights. I think Caleb used it in the press conference and Canelo felt very insulted. Caleb apologized for this. Canelo said "Y el me dijo que el decirme esas palabras no eran un significado para mi mi mamá y se disculpó..." which means "He told me that those words weren't mean for my mom and apologized".

CAnelo heard, the short translation, of his translator, ( why the translator cit short🙄?) and is when Canelo says "and then, and then" meaning, 'what else did I said about our insident on our face off' making the translator translate his full statememt. It is evident Canelo eas speaking to the english speaking North America crow, because it was important to him, explain the whole situations, wich was a language misunderstanding. sinceCanelo is evidently trying to vigorously learn the language, wich I think his so ng a good job, in this case, he thought Calab was talking about his mom, when he call him "mo**fo", and is wwhen Canelo pushed him. So Canelo explain that afther that happened, seems like they spoke immediately afther and Calab ( in all the confusion amongs both probably) said he wanit to continue, and he explain how he waa not talking about Canelos mother. sience Calab dosent have a mother (rip). and its clear that touch Canelo.... grate fight! 🇺🇲🇲🇽🙌

I love how Canelo clearly understands English. Listens to the question in English, answers them in Spanish, and has a guy translating it back to English. The best fighter won last night, I always loved canelo even though I was routing for Caleb, I always have a tendency to route for the underdog, I will never nor would I ever have a negative comment about canelo, he is the man to beat , but there's going to be a long time if ever that happens. I will always be a canelo lover but not a follower, at any given time a great fighter can be dethroned. He is the man without a doubt, God bless both of these warriors

Canelo is fluent in English. He speaks Spanish because his Hispanic fans respect him for sticking to his Hispanic roots. Many Hispanics view Mexican boxers who do TV interviews in English as selling out. It's more a business decision.
