Cang Du had a cool design and concept, wish we got to see more of him NGL

I personally liked him when he first appeared and totally loved his design. It was a bummer that he was underutilized in the manga, but hopefully in the anime portion of the events he gets expanded upon a bit more.

Cang Du deserved more action. I always though Kubo had more planned for him but it’s hard to give 26+ villains hella screen time

Cang du said that people shouldn't die alone. Maybe he was supposed to die in our group but he's the one that survived or maybe someone he loved died turning his heart into iron. Not so funny he talked about people not dying alone but he's the one person who died the loneliest of all. His comrades didn't care for him, heck they're the ones that killed him. All he did was just join a cult that suck the rest of his life out of him. The quincies that join Yhwach most be really lonely or desperate to praise a man who wont remember their names. 😢

Actually the claw on Cang Du (if we take him as Bruce Lee inspired character) is more likely based on the ccillain named Han from the movie "Enter The Dragon" (a Bruce Lee movie, released even before the first appearance of Wolverine). Now lets compare the two. 1) Unarmed combate skill? Cang Dudoes not display any remarkable unarmed martial arts skill. 2) BAre their behavior and philosphy similar? No, completely different on the little that we see from Cang Du. 3) Wears chinese style clothing? Yes, both. 4) Hair color is black? Yes, both. 5) Are claw like weapons a common thing in chinese martial arts and media? Yes, there are several weapons that display claw like features. So, is it hair color and clothing enough to call him a Bruce Lee inspired charater? Or is it enough to say he just has a chinese theme? Do I have to mention the chinese thmed characters are a common thing on manga and anime even before Bleach? And that is highly more likely that Kubo is more familiar with those manga than with Wolverine? Specially when his work is much more inspired on mangas that came before than on Western comics?

Really hate that both him and BG9 essentially had to get shafted just to show what The Balance can do. It felt unnecessary and dumb to do the cliche "You failed me and now you must die" villain thing. Both BG9 and Cang were still shown ready to fight and more than capable. Should've kept using them.

He was the perfect foil for Hitsugaya. And his devotion to Yhwach makes his later death at his hands all the more ironic.

I wish Cang Du fights Soi Fon rather than Hitsugaya

Cang Du also has a weapon like the villain in Bruce Lee's Enter The Dragon Han

I think they are Steel Dragon Claws. Reminds me of one of the weapons used in old kung fu movies. Also Golden Tiger Claws from Xiaolin Showdown.

Makes sense from a name of kung fu type of Quincy to fight well and use his muscles in battle. Interesting character....

The Quiet Kid in Sternritter:

he needs an extended fight in the anime. dude's got a pretty cool character design and its such a waste that in the manga they handed him an L in his only ever fight. He barely survived and then gets executed by Haschwalth for "humiliating defeat". dude also had an potential to be a character with interesting backstory considering the scar down his mouth brought a lot of speculations to where he got it. The only other person to have a similar-looking scar to run down a portion of their face is Kratos from God of War, and it was revealed in one of the side games that he got it from getting punched by a God. Makes me wonder if Cang had suffered a tragic past where he encountered the same thing.

Dude should have been paired with Soi Fon instead of Toshiro. BG9 was a just another trash match up that never fully shows off her capabilities. Both are martial artist with similar weapons. Cang had his claws and Soi Fon her stinger gauntlet and we could have had and awesome hand to hand fight with Soi Fon trying to pierce him but being unable too because of his iron abilities and blut vein. He would be a tough opponent that would be the only Quincy capable of increasing his attack power and defense at the same time. This would made Soi Fon have to perfect her shunko as her normal hakuda and shikai are useless and ineffective. The first fight would show their mastery of martial arts while Cang Du pushes her back easily and Soi Fon is only barely holding out thanks to her skills in hakuda. The rematch would have them on more equal ground as she would have perfect wind Shunko , but still be forced to use bankai in the end as it’s the only thing in her arsenal capable of ending the fight in one hit. Instead Cang Du got wasted fighting Toshiro who could just freeze him.

Dude just imagine, and hear me out on this. If Urahara needed more time to work on the hollowfication pills to get Bankais back so he sends in Grimmjow to buy some time while he works on it. Could of had Cang du vs Grimmjow, and could have been one of the most metal battles in the series. ( Pun intended) Also for good measure throw Nel in against BG9.

Ah yea, one of the three sternritters underused in this arc, all with some cool designs and somewhat interesting personalities gets completely ridiculed in this arc. They probably won't change anything so say goodbye to him on the saturday.

Dbz .i like always ur reviews and i appreciate it but i have to say u are mistaken about mention ibrahamic religion cuz islam, Christianity, Judaism though they share idea of only one mighty god but it's very different in principal as Christianity shows that god has son which islam 100% disagree about it, Judaism has serious mistaken qualities of god to offensive extents which islam disagree about too. Another underutilised Bleach character. Bleach seems to have more underutilised and wasted characters than Dragon ball. I just hope the anine gives him some extra scenes to flex his moves.

I probably am the one Cang Du hater out there. His design is meant to look badass, but honestly, the shape of his jaw and his stoic expression just make him look like a doof, and his sudden waxing philosophical, weird honor code, and denying the aliveness of Bankai because he's "not a pantheist" made him feel like a grade A dumbass.
