This is no lie. I shot the Rival -S a couple of weekends ago. It was like a whole new world opened up and invited me in to play. I've got a p320 Legion that I love, but this blows it away.

@@NilsJonasson its funny because my TP9-SFX has a very light spring on the mag so i can load them fairly qucik, not as fast as you but you failry quick, my Elite SC and my Glock G45 have stronger springs in the mag and those are tougher to load.

Yeah, Nils probably loads 10 or 15k rounds in mags per year. I own two Caniks, my latest a Rival Dark. SA pistol mags have ridiculous spring pressure brand new, finger busters. Canik rocks in every way!

Matt is the 1911/2011 King. Awesome gunsmith and a better guy. I just stoped by Matt’s new shop in Ohio last week after the USPSA Carry Optics Nationals. Gave him a chance to shoot the new steel frame, and he was impressed.

I have been very fortunate for the exact same thing over the year. Rio Salado is home to some of the best shooters in the world.

You mean he’s dialed into the gun. That gun is stock it can be dialed in more than that. 😊

Well @@NilsJonasson , the two day demo is on the worst two days here in Austin to travel. Too many road closures due to freezing weather so I won't be able to make it there! Man I was really excited to shoot this baby!! Hopefully they will add it to their rentals! Thoughts postponed...

I was able to get my hands on the Rival-S. It is much heavier than I expected. Very flat shooting. It took me a few rounds to get used to the trigger. I was pulling left a bit at first so I adjusted my grip to accommodate my finger position. I have short fingers and fat palms so I have to adjust for the more forward position of the 90* trigger. It was a demo so it may have had the larger grips. Other than that it ran smooth. I’m gonna keep playing with it at the range for sure. Compared it to my Sig X5 Legion, my Mete SFX, and a Staccato P just for kicks. I do like the positive re-set on the trigger a lot! That was missing from the X5 that I did not realize until the comparison. I had to wait longer for the X5 to re-set. It held its own against the Staccato. Completely different beast of course. Keep on posting content!! Good luck in 2023!!

My wife is running the W74 tungsten guide Ron and 14lb recoil spring. My is stock with the exception of a lighter safety plunger spring.

@@NilsJonasson all they had was the chrome and that's the one I wanted. Different, reminds me of the chrome 911 that I had. Only much bigger and better.

The TP9 is our original frame design. The Mete and Rival pistols share our newer frame design, but the Mete is geared more towards the tactical crowd while the Rival is more target/competition oriented.
