I've never been interested in MrSpeakers headphones before, but after seeing this video and how cool, grounded and non-crazy Dan is, I'm feeling compelled to order me a pair soon. Tyll just sold a future pair (or two) for Dan...because this seems like a fine company where I'd feel my money will be well spent. God bless!

I had the opportunity to listen to the Voce at Canjam London 2018. It was hands down the best headphone I've ever heard. I also got to meet Mr Speakers himself who was a incredibly nice genuine and down to earth guy. Had a great time talking with him about his career and work on the Voce. Hopefully one day I can meet tyll too as I've always had great respect and admiration for him

When I saw that this was half an hour long, I vowed to only dip in, hear a little info about the Voce and then go do other things after maybe 5 minutes. Nope. The whole thing was very interesting. Thanks to you both!

Very impressed by Dan and his company. I love how he went for maximum weight reduction instead of adding bullshit audiophile bling and focused much on imaging and soundstage and creating a good bass in an electrostat. Tyll take notice! You tend to overlook soundstage for some reason in your reviews.
@akshat35166 жыл бұрын
OriginalMindTrick Saw the impressions of this headphone, most people are reporting that the headphone has a rather closed in and an intimate soundstage, while Dan and few people are reporting that it has an extremely large soundstage. Honestly speaking, the impressions of this headphone are all over the place.
@OriginalMindTrick6 жыл бұрын
Interesting. Well, let the truth be known. Hopefully, it's not a case of the prototype having a different soundstage than production units.
@akshat35166 жыл бұрын
OriginalMindTrick Those impressions are of production units, they are on headfi and sbaf. It can probably be a case of loud meeting room that can suck the soundstage but then again some people who actually have the headphone in their home like headinclouds,bearnf and anakchan have reported a small soundstage and SR 009 was quoted of having a noticeabally larger soundstage compared to Voce.

A sound moves forward because of head micro movements, not because of a size of a membrane. So, that’s not possible to wipe sounds from a head listening in headphones. This mention stays apart of the Voce themself. I believe they are a great-great product.

And this is why I have two pairs of $1000+ headphones from Mr. Speakers. Their product is simply incredible.

Great video. Watched it as part of evaluating the start engine campaign. It gives me a lot of confidence in the future of the company.

Man I would buy a pair just to support the biz. Super cool guy👍 What makes me laugh tho is some reviewer slamming them for not supplying super expensive packaging and then wanting them to be cheaper. These guys can’t win.

Seems like a nice contender and a different flavour of sound to Stax electrostatic headphones for the people who prefer more natural sound instead of detail and speed.

After having a good listen to the Ether Flow it's become an absolute high-end goal of mine. Hearing how he describes the Voce, that's why I enjoy Audeze. Damnit goalposts stop moving. Fun stuff to see a tour like this! So when's the amp coming?
@ANSWERTHECALLOFJESUSCHRIST6 жыл бұрын
+spookanide Yeah, those moving goalposts seem to make mockery of us! They're holographically deceptive in how close they appear and how far they really move when we look at them!
@KeiBrightwing6 жыл бұрын
For all the talk of driver burn-in and matching when I bought my Aeon Flows the right driver played louder than the left one. It took at least 50 more hours of additional burn-in at home before the drivers started to match up and balance properly.

Watching this, 6 months later... with the Ether 2. I'm looking hard at the hint of Ether 2, but it seems to be hidden well out of sight. Haha...

So impressed after watching this video. For some reason i though that MrSpeaker was a big soul less company but how wrong can you be. Have not heard the Voce yet but if it sounds as good as the Stax counterpart my money will go to MrSpeaker.

I'll be really interested to see the measurements of the pilots before AND after this "break-in" process!..... Time and use can only gradually degrade the characteristics of the audio devices, even assuming they are "perfect" to begin with!

Dan posted on head-fi saying they're his personal pair of Aeons and they're red so he doesn't accidentally send them to a trade show or something.
