On September 13th, 2012, Canlan Ice Sports was featured on a Season 2 epsiode of The W Network's hit show "Undercover Boss Canada". The show saw Canlan Ice Sports CEO Joey St. Aubin go "undercover" under the disguise of Mike Peters, a Northern Ontario individual looking for work experience.
In the episode, St. Aubin worked shifts with 4 Canlan employees from The Thirsty Penguin, Programs Department, and Operations Department. The experience allowed St. Aubin to get a first-hand perspective of Canlan's operations and provided him with an ability to recognize some of the great employees that make Canlan the company it is, as well as identifying areas where the company can improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Lol where are you getting your numbers from? ICE (Canlan Ice Sports Inc) is currently $3.55 Canadian $ a share; meaning two thousand shares is only worth $6,700 Canadian, and assuming your american at todays exchange rate that only converts to $5,139.67. Please elaborate lol

I didn’t hear how many locations he had so he might not have the deep pockets that other businesses have. As long as he’s trying it’s a great thing. If he can make improvements over time there may be better things for the future. Crawl then walk then run.

To be honest though the best training is putting the machine in their hands. Everyone can see how it is and just say it's easy but putting that machine in your hands is what will really show wither or not you have the skills for it.

The first time I drove a forklift was after taking a written and operational test. Though some people have little aptitude for it it quickly becomes apparent how much skill someone has for it. There are some that drives like a novice for a long time and some catch on like me that look like I was born on it. Besides, who wouldn’t love to drive the Zamboni?! Every time I visited the rink I would have loved to get the opportunity.
