I love the way Maiwenn said Johnny wanted to hold on to his authority, but she wanted us to see his more romantic, taciturn, dark side. What a beautiful thing to see,to say. 4:00 And she rightly says his private life is his business, not ours, and we are not judges. I wish there were more people like her in the world. So glad he had gone from strength to strength since the horrendous years before.

He lost 1st trial and won 2nd but the 1st was not against AH but a newspaper. And the judge literally believed what amber would say even though they were lies, like the $7 mil donation she said she donated that was never donated. The judge wrote she was credible for donating the money. And it was all bs. It was the 2nd trial that showcased to the public all the evidence and the credibility (and lack thereof) of all the witnesses. So when she said we will never know. We saw the evidence so i wholeheartedly disagree. We know. Maybe she felt she needed to be neutral. But it was disappointing. I am so glad he starred in this. By them choosing Johnny their movie will be popular around the world. It was a smart move on their part i feel. And from the clips it looks like he did such an outstanding job. We support you Johnny!! He is a survivor!! And an inspiration to so many!!!

I could not be happier for Johnny! I honestly never heard of him before until I watched the Amber Heard trial. I began to look into his background and became aware of how he was raised etc. I am not a big movie person and Hollywood always sickened me, but for some reason after watching that trial, I became his biggest fan. I am 83, devout Christian and have led Bible studies for women since the 60’s so now you know my family and friends who are so shocked when I said I am so I love with this man and his heart so so carrying. I just know He will accept Jesus as his savior at some point because He has His hand on Johnny and blessed him with so many talents and a great big heart.

JD -- one of the few talented actors of his generation who's a natural because he never studied acting. His only other competition would be the retired Daniel Day-Lewis or Philip S. Hoffman who's dead. Depp manages to inhabit and to flesh out his roles through dogged research, studious rehearsals and paying close attention to details, the director and to history as his guides in a tour de force performance. I GREATLY ADMIRE HIS INNATE TALENT & SKILLED ARTISTRY. KUDOS!!!!!!🎉😊

I know the movie companies can be unfair at times and want to distance themselves from trials. Perhaps he will return, I hope he returns. I'm not a fan of subtitles but I absolutely love Versailles.
