I grew up in Veracruz as a first generation born Mexican to American missionary parents. What Dakota is talking about is very real, it's very prevalent. There is dark magic, brugos everywhere. I have so many stories of things that I witnessed with my friends and family that will forever change one. It's undeniable, and hard for a foreigner to totally understand as it is so part of their culture. There is a book called, "The Flying Witches of Veracruz" by James Endredy that is so fascinating and talks about this from a first person perspective, as he became a witch himself. He talks about Datura, a plant that is about 10 times more potent than ayahuasca- that they would do ceremonies together to all go into the spirit world.

i can totally feel dakota..i went from extreme snowboard professional-accident with 4 broken spines-to magick-finding the highest god, shivaism-hare krishna-jesus-keys of enoch-higest meditation practice-to kashmir tantrism-illumination-to fixing my life-having trouble trying to do so-changa-and at the end finding a colombian shaman to take yage(or aya) and now i`m just free of all the BS to search something that never was away and have no problems whatsoever, after 27 years since the accident..i am free to be me and enjoy everything that comes my way, and the way is broad and slim the same time..there is no path to find-you are the path already and everything is perfekt.

Love it. I’ve actually followed Dakota for about a year & he is how I found you, Blu. Hope to cross paths in our travels some days. Thank you for this podcast, that was fun!

I love your viewpoints on psychadelics and finding a happy medium between the world of plant medicines as well as the integration practises. As someone who has dabbled in plant medicines I found trouble consistently with integrating the knowledge and wisdom i have learned and maintaining it.

The story about the dieting gasoline triggers a memory of a very significant vision I had when I was working with the mushroom teachers. I got introduced, you could say, with something I identified at the time as a "psychic, spiritual and by extension cultural solvent". I won't go into the details here, but as always in ceremony this had a very personal dimension to it. I saw this sunstance as an organic solvent, like thinner, the spirit of a petro-chemical product and how it was summoned or directed consciously by the powers that (shouldn't) be and how that was affecting how I perceived myself and how that was ultimately based on a lie because of it. Before this vision I had gone through a process of constructing an identity and this was informed by this 'spirit of the solvent' as it were. I saw how it was threatening to dissolve my soul (which in hindsight I can say was a warning, a wake-up call, this was 3 years ago and I'm still integrating this) and again, I saw what this was doing to culture on a societal/political level because of the warped sense of identity individuals were assuming and thereby spreading or pro-creating this spirit of the solvent. So yeah, hearing this it does make sense to diet with the spirit of the gasoline. I think this is something that we could all benefit from. I haven't gone into ceremony since then but this will definitely stick with me and all of a sudden it feels a lot less threatening and especially alien to me, because that, while I was having this vision was what happened, I was freaked out by it and now I understand that this was not necessary. I considered something external and alien to me only because I didn't recognize this solvent, petro-chemical archetype as something we're actually very familiar with and as everything, if used wisely and with care can be a powerful ally and messenger.

I know you through Dakotas Instagram story and it’s so weird to think that I would have never known about your existence if you wouldn’t have met Dakota.

@Blu hi there,very randomly came upon this video though I have watched some of Dakota's videos..In the beginning of the video Dakota mentioned you went to Arkana twice and you did a mushroom ceremony the second time you went there..i have only tried mushroom once purely for inspirational reasons but becoz i dont do any psychedelics,drugs or weed i took 1 gram which didnt get deep that much..i loved loved this plant and out of all the plants out there that I have done research I feel like I want to have a mushroom ceremony at least once..would you be able to tell me a bit about your arkana experience with mushrooms?
