Have you ever tried canning citrus? Were you slightly disappointed with the results? Somehow what you have had from canned versions from the store were somehow different? My guess is because of all the fibrous membranes and pith that can be quite difficult to remove... UNTILL now. I have a GREAT tip to share with you to get an even BETTER home canned product!

Very interesting subject choice for canning. I never thought of canning up the small mandarins. This would make sure none go bad waiting to finish the bag. Thanks for sharing this idea with us. Thank you to Leisa an ForJars for this very generous 2024 Canuary collaboration.😃

I’m not understanding, so mandarin oranges are easier to peel with the use of white vinegar? How do you do this? How much vinegar do you use ? do you mix it with other ingredients? Do you rub the segments? Or agitate them in a solution like our hostess did?Everyone has white vinegar at their homes, we wouldn’t have to order this Pectin enzyme to process the mandarin oranges. How do you use the vinegar? Does it make the oranges taste like vinegar? Or have a marinating effect on them? Thank you but please explain your tip.

I love that there is a way for us to get rid of the extra white pith at home. I never knew you could do that, and it makes it much more appealing to try canning up citrus fruit.
