I think the audio engineer is trash. I’ve heard concerts where singer does not know how to sing and sounds awesome. I imagine them with Madonna’s audio engineer. It would be wow!!

The reason is post-production.

It sounds /way/ better live than in these cell phone cam videos. It's the same for any live concert.

As someone with an audio degree, there's a lot done to professional recordings, artistically, and phone mics aren't usually good for recording music. They don't pic up all the sounds. She also doesn't seem to be using auto-tune or have a lot of effects on her voice and is singing her feelings more than concentrating on getting everything right, an issue I have while singing, as well. The main things I hear is a phone mic not picking up all the frequencies and stage monitors not being easy enough for her to hear herself, which can cause a sort of confusion, when you can hear other sound all around you. She keeps messing with her inner ear monitor. The digital signal might not be solid. I still am enjoying it! They're a great band!
