Canola acreage is on the increase in Washington State, tripling in the last three years. Washington State University and USDA-ARS have led oilseed research and extension efforts in WA since 2007 through the WA Oilseed Cropping Systems project, part of the Washington State Biofuels Initiative funded by the WA state legislature.
