I use the 1.4x III on my 500mm mkII. Very good results! Before i was using it on the 500mm mkI, it was not the most sharp combo. When needed I'll use the 2.0x III, but it makes the photos less sharp (soft).

I have constantly on the 1.4x III on my 200-400mm. Additionally I can put the internal 1.4x in place and I ended up surprised how sharp the images are despite 2 TCs used. Amazing!

I have a sigma for cannon 150-500mm lens currently do you think it is worth getting an 1.4x extender and if so could anyone recommend me one?

I would personally not on the 150-500, the only zoom Sigmas I would recommend using them with would be the 70-200 and 150-600 Sports, and I would use the Sigma Convertors

It will definitely work for outside sports, you might struggle if you do anything indoors

@@joewhitnallphotography Interesting, that's what I am looking at too. 200mm too short for birds etc and an extender is a lot better value that going to another lens. Did you try the 2x on that lens as well? Was it any good?

Absolutely no qualms about running a 1.4TC vIII on my 400mm f2.8 IS vI. Also running 1Dx2 and a 5D4
