There are replacement battery doors on Ebay for a good price. I have 3 AL-1s. 2 in silver and one black. Great cameras! I pick them up whenever I find them.

How or where did you have the battery part repaired?

I have already bought this camera model repaired in this way. Alternatively, you can also use a winder to push the fastener of the holder into the correct position.

There are a couple of channels that show you how. Including mine. There is also repair doors in Ebay. I have a couple of AL-1s and really love the aperture priority of it.
