I think it is great. Use it for my channel videos not much for taking pics. Bought used 10-18 and 55-200 and they did not break the bank. Reviews of the lenses were not great but I find them fine for what I do

Would u recommend 250d over a camera like the mirrorless M50 mark II? I mainly plan on using it for making instagram cinematic videos/stories/marketing sort of reels and occasional music video for my friends. I am just starting out so I dont have a massive budget, any feedback is more than welcomed :)

Nice relaxing review here^^ This be one of the reviews i watched to convince myself to finally buy one. I recently bought a new 250D, that was probably built in 2022, ..based on the lens & battery serial numbers. It felt like an upgrade since my previous DSLR was a 100D. I already have some EF & EF-S glass lying around... feels right at home.

Thank you, Excellent reciew. After buying this Camera, the main problem I faced was the very Poor Sensor performance Indoor, even with good strong lights , the Shots have 4000 ISO , which is not the case with several 10 years old Cameras.

I still have my SL2. It was the first camera I got with Live View. I got a few EF lenses. Now I have a M6 mark II mirrorless camera. I only had to get an adapter from Viltrox. When the RF lenses and R cameras came out, I stopped buying gear. The SL3 is a good camera and the EF and EF-S lenses are still easy to get. The EF-S 24mm f/2.8 "pancake" lens is good for video and photos on the SL2 and SL3 cameras.

I want this camera in 2023 but only concern is that canon stopped making ef lenses and they dont repair dslr anymore since they are not making new dslrs coz they are making mirrorless

I am about to get mine from EBay on Monday. I was never into photography and I am not trying to be an influencer/Creator of any kind but I needed to get something to record my self tapes (actor) and I grew tired of my phone. To get a new 2024 camera felt overkill and way too expensive. I thought what is the first camera that could do 4K video and had good reviews a few years ago... The SL3 was it. I am not moving the camera when I film so 4K with manual focus will be good. I just need 4K to zoom in to get the perfect frame. I got a good deal for a used one on EBay with 2 lenses. I am curious if this will be better than my Iphone. And maybe.... maybe I discover a new hobby. I know its something new to learn. I have been studying DSLRs and settings and what to do when the entire week. Thanks for your video. Soothing and informative at the same time.

I have this camera and really I think it's down to how you use it. I considered switching it with a 5D Mark 3 but so far I really don't see a major difference... I'm tempted more to upgrade the kit lenses and stick with this body. Shame the lenses are so expensive 😫

Should I get the option 1 or 2 or 3 for photography and photo editing? 1- canon 250D paired with a Lenovo idea pad 5 (i7 11th gen / 8GB ram / 512GB m.2 ssd /MX450 / 60Hz ) 2- nikon D5300 paired with the same laptop as option 1 3- canon 2000D paired with Dell G15 (Ryzen 5 5600H / 16GB ram / 512GB nvme / RTX 3050 / 120Hz) Please answer quickly ❤

In terms of the laptop, I'd probably go with the Dell, for the extra RAM. In terms of the camera, it depends on what kind of photography you want to do.

Great video. Having a hard time deciding what to replace my knackered 1100D with from the choice of the 250D or the m50 / m50 mk2. Both seem viable but I am unsure if both will remain supported for a decent period of time. I saw elsewhere that Canon isn't making any more DSLRs but I could be wrong, which leans towards the m50 but...choices. Mostly aiming at still photography rather than action/video/vlogging.

@@TanjimRahman For what it's worth, I've replaced it with a M50 MK2 and it's a very capable beast so far. Consider an adapter for EF/EFS lenses if you have a hoard (or just one you're fond of, like me) but make changes to the settings (turn off guided mode, etc)

@@TanjimRahman Varies by location/retailer, I got a new one for about £650 with the kit lens from canon. You could probably pick one up off ebay for a bit less if it was used, though obviously I recommend due diligence.

Hello, for someone who is interested in the video side of things, would you still prefer the sl3(I'd like to do a bit of vlogging with cinematics here and there)? I wanted to buy the m50 but the ef-m lenses are a lot costly where i live. So i was thinking maybe i should buy the sl3(Also, the m50 is almost 200$ more than the sl3 here). Buying the sl3 would give me more options for example buying a 10-18mm lense to kindof cut back the 1.6x crop ration and everything. Would really love to hear your opinion about this!! :D

Am perplexed between the 250d and the nikon 5600 .the nikon is 200$ cheaper for me so is it worth it to spend some extra or the nikon is a good option?

@@k.k8791 Sharpness has more to do with the lens, than the camera, assuming the settings are correct. The Nikon 5600 has more autofocus points, so that makes things easier, The 250D can shoot higher resolution video, so it has an edge there. Other than that, they're basically equivalent. When it comes to lower light, it's more about the lens usually, though the sensor can also play a part. If you're going to use it with a kit lens, like an 18-55mm, you're going to struggle in low light. You're probably going to get noise in the shadows, depending on how much light you actually have. With artificial light there shouldn't be issues, depending on how much of it there as well.

It should be more than enough to capture fast movements like punching, and the amount of megapixels allows you to shoot from quite far so it's a good use for this camera

An actuation is every time the camera 'clicks', which is when you take a photo. Theoretically, at least on average, after 100,000 actuations, the shutter, the thing that does the click, is supposed to fail. At least, that's what it's rated for. They can last for longer though, it just depends on the camera. As it's a fragile mechanical component, it can only do its job a certain amount of times. More expensive cameras are rated at 200,000, or even 500,000. I hope this helps 👍

Have it ever been any issue with the touch screen display? Like it stop working after a couple of years? I have bad experience with touch on phones and in my car that stoped working. If so can you still manage the canon 250D with the bottons? Or do you have to use the touch screen display? I am kind of worried to buy the camera just beacuse of the touch?

I often even forget the screen is touch for this camera haha, I'm so comfortable just pressing the buttons....but I've had the camera for a while now and also recently realised I have left the screen flipped outwards for 2 years, so I imagine the screen could've easily been pressured or damaged as I'm reckless and dont use a camera bag and just throw it around in bags with other hard objects - and the touch screen is as good as the day I first got it, so that says something

Keep it on a tripod, and pay attention to lighting. If you do that, you'll get great results with it 👍

Can. Anyone help me? I have had 100d for a long time and upgraded to 250d. I feel the 250d photos are a lot more cold colors compared to the 100d with the same lens. Am I doing something wrong In the setup?

It’s probably due to the white balance. Have a look at it in camera. You can also change the temperature when editing the photos. I personally like mine on the warm side, so I adjust that when editing.

With the 250D and a lens, like the Canon 50mm f/1.4, you get more Bokeh when taking photos. The 'blurry background' capability of the 13 Pro Max is somewhat limited, as it does 'fake blur', and that usually looks bad. I'd say that's the main advantage. The iPhone 13 probably beats the 250D for video if you don't care about the blurry background.

Control and ergonomics, the 250D can adapt many different lenses, some big, some small, with a zoom lens it gives you far more flexibility in composing an image than iPhone 13 ever will give you. The image quality is superior, you can recover shadows by making them brighter in post production gaining details. Just having a camera body alone to use is day and night compared to a smartphone, this alone makes it easier to compose images. Today you do not even need to develop your RAW images, with practise you can shoot good JPEG out the camera, or you can use free AI image software on your computer to automatically develop your images.
