This came out so cool. The fact that peter mckinnon helped you out was great also. I love this. I own a m6 markii also. Great vid. Helping you as in inspiration. You just inspired me to make a shot like this. Thanks for the help.

Thanks. Did you get a chance to try it out yet? Just making sure I did not miss speak. I watched Peter McKinnon do this and tried to recreate what he did using the M6 Mark II. He was not actually with me helping me out. 😀

Hood evening Mr.Fasciano I would like to ask what gimbal do you use if u do use one.. your chanel seem to be on point with the canon m6 mark 2 great work by the way n thank you for taking the time to show videos on the camera
@faspete2nd4 жыл бұрын
I don't use a gimbal. I lock my shots off from a tripod or use the Switchpod for my hand held shots.

0:42 in screen there is screen stabilizer cross mark. Could you share steps to enable
@faspete2nd2 жыл бұрын
That would be the level. I don't have the camera any longer, but if the menu is like the other canon menu items then you need to go into the red camera icon menu and go to shooting info disp. then select screen info settings and I think it's option 3. Make sure you check the option and press OK otherwise it won't show up. Also, check out my tips and tricks video it explains why you sometimes have the level and sometimes you don't.

You shouldn't be losing quality, only image dimensions. RAW Burst Mode simply uses the centre 18MP of the sensor, which is the same as capturing the full 32.5MP shot and then cropping it to 18MP in post. You didn't lose quality, you simply cropped out some of the image This is easy to test. Put the camera on a tripod so that nothing moves. Take a shot at 32.5MP and then select RAW Burst Mode. you immediately see about a 1.8x crop which looks like you zoomed in. Take the shot again. Compare them. If you paste the 18MP image on top of the 32.5MP image they are identical , except for the missing outer part of the 18MP image.

Good to know. Thanks for the clarification.
@z4ng3tsu1ch1g02 жыл бұрын
Its more like a 1.3x crop, not 1.8

For the life of me I can't figure out how to extract all the single images from a raw burst file. The only way I've found that it works is if I save each individual still on my M6 Mark ii and then transfer those to my mac. But that's taking forever. Is there a process using the Raw Burst Image tool that let's me extract all the raw stills in one go?
@faspete2nd2 жыл бұрын
I don't think there is. I think you have to do it the way you are doing it.

Great tutorial as always! Off-topic question: What is the background sound/music called during first minute?

It's from Epidemic Sound. Keep Driving by Sosra. The track is 1:31 sec long at 123BPM

i am hoping the pre-shooting buffer will capture action just prior to pressing the button. so it might catch a butterfly taking off in the half second delay it takes no react.
@faspete2nd3 жыл бұрын
@@SalisburyPlainAviation if and when you do it let me know if it worked. I have only used the burst mode once since I shot this video. I keep intending to use it for my bird photography, but keep forgetting.
@SalisburyPlainAviation3 жыл бұрын
@@faspete2nd i will certainly do that. i intend to try it later this week. i am sure if it captures the butterfly liftoff point it will do the same for birds. 🥰
