R6 Mark 1 doesn't have a 1.6x crop when shooting 4k60, it's an insignificant 1.07x crop and applies to all 4k frame rates, including 24 & 30 fps. It's only applies a 1.6x crop when enabling "Movie Cropping", which puts it into APS-C Mode, good for when you quickly need more reach out of a lens without losing much details.

smaller sensor means smaller file size on mark 1 which let you shoot more on same buffer......larger sensor on mark 2 produces larges file size which limits both the time you can shoot continuously and the number of images you can shoot in a burst......and that's true for every high megapixel camera.

I am surprised you didn’t mention overheating or recording limits. This is where the video specs on the R6 MKii blows the R6 original out of the water. I own both but when I know I am going to be shooting video I bring out the R6 MK II and leave the R6i at home

Thank you so much for this video. I recently purchased an R10 and two of its small RF-s lenses for upcoming travel by air. But I have "gotten the bug" and am looking to get a second camera for landscapes, sports (especially hockey) and wildlife around my immediate area. I have no intention of doing video, but I do expect to shoot in lower-light conditions, so the R6 looks like the best choice for me based on price and yes your informative, recent video. Thank you so much!

Great review ! Thanks so much. One thing though. You said the R6 mk1 is 20-30% lighter, but I am researching their weight and apparently there is no difference?
