That's terrific - thank you. I've only had my R7 for a month or so (after 5 years with the EOS-R), and am still playing with the setup. I had forgotten that those four directional keys on the wheel below the info button weren't doing anything while I was shooting - I very much appreciate seeing what you have done with them. My setup does differ from yours - simply because my needs are different - I do a lot of macro and vintage lens work, which is manually focused. In my case, I have the "Movie Shooting Button" giving me magnification for manual focusing. I have the AF-ON button in the default setting, the AE-Lock button on exposure-compensation, and I use the AF point button to turn my tracking on and off. I set up the four arrow buttons pretty much as you did - but I'm nervous that I won't remember what does what - especially as I'm still switching back and forth with the EOS-R, which has a different layout, a completely different set of autofocus options, and less programmability. BTW - I learned a lesson with my EOS-R - I had to send it in for repair as I wore out the main control dial - and of course it came back to me factory reset. It took me an hour to remember and recreate all the darned settings. NOW, I'm going to write them all down, because the R7 is even more complex to set up. I am going to get to do a couple of airshows this year - though they're a rarity for me as I'm mostly an art/landscape/macro guy. I hope I can learn from your wonderful work and get some good shots in!

Thanks for the share! I discovered back focus with me 60D and use it exclusively now with my R. What I don't do is use the ring button for any hot functions... That's changing tonight!

I'm thinking about buying the R7 for aviation photography. I currently have the Lumix G9 with the 70-300mm which is 140-600mm in 35mm terms with the cameras 2x crop factor. I was considering buying the Leica 50-200 f 2.6-4 lens and the 1.4 Tele-converter. It's quite a nice fast lens, but I'm just afraid that unless I really fill the frame or if I crop in too much the photo quality will take a hit. I was about to pull the trigger on the Leica 50-200 but then I saw your video and followed the link to your Instagram. I don't think I would ever be able to achieve the same results as you are achieving with R7 and the Canon glass as I would with the G9 and Leica. Great shots on your feed by the way 👌

do you use electronic or mechanical shutter? Thanks for videos very help full

Electronic first curtain. This gives you a faster burst than full mechanical and eliminates rolling shutter.
