Thank you for giving me a great start on using my EOS T5. Total newbie here - I didn't even know where the shutter button was (or even that it was called a shutter button!) until I watched the video. Looking forward to watching more of your videos and possibly taking one of the courses.

Turn your top dial to the very bottom setting, the one that looks like a video camera. Once you get into this setting, find the small button with a camera and a red dot, located to the right of your viewfinder opening. It will start recording as soon as you press that button.
