I have one, first class results all the time. I would always record first to the internal memory, the 2 card slots are mainly for backup extra recording time. Takes reasonable stills as well if you dont have your DSLR with you.

I must say I'd really like for the cam to have 1080p50 which is now possible with AVCHD. Well, I love it for travelling. Has quite a lot of CA fully zoomed in though.

Great video! Sub and like added. I ordered this last night as my first prosumer camera and I ordered both an XLR mic and a shotgun mic. Can I record using both mics at same time (one in person's hands and other on top of camera)? If so, when you import it into Final Cut Pro X, etc. does it split the multiple mics into different rows within the timeline? Thank you so much!

64G internal is pretty impressive

I'm considering getting a Legria HF-G25 (Vixia HF-G20) over a professional camcorder (a sony z1 or v1). My reason for this is that the z1 is nearly 10 years old and I'm worried that its features/methods may be dated. The purpose of camcorder is to film a set of health and safety videos at the end of the month. My videos will include: 1. Cutaways of the factory, machinery and workforce in action. 2. Step by step procedures. (There is no need for audio) Any suggestions?

Canon took a very uncommon name, especially in the german speaking regions fyi: vixia sounds like wichsen, which means...ok now ask google or use any online dictionary ;), i don't want to write it down here. anyways... nice gadget. cool redundance storage! ...guys now, what would you prefer, this or lets say a Sony NEX vg20?
