Seeing that log reminded me of a friend who was on a Hatteras 52 120 miles off the coast of Hilton Head when a railroad tie....yes a railroad tie went through the bow. Vessel sank in 12 minutes. So if you see a log please pull it out of the water!

@bamabeachbum .. for the cooler--vanilla extract on cotton balls will take care of the smell. Place cotton balls inside, close lid, leave a few days.

Great video y'all! I once had the same setups where my small 8' rod that was for withing casted the same way y'all did, just by the edge of the water, got picked up by a 44 inch red. It was awesome fight on light tackle. I landed the fish, but the hook was almost straitened out. Great stuff y'all!

Another storm for you! I'm in leesburg Florida we finally get a storm ! I own a tree svc and will be fishing tomorrow for work. Hopefully we can go offshore next week. Had to cancel fishing trips for 4 weeks in a row . Fishing is my hobby. Keep the videos coming.

A few years back we were in Englewood in similar conditions and POUNDED the red and black drum , trout and snook . I never would have thought being that rough we would be that successful

Used to fish the surf for years at Boca Grande. Light tackle, #6 test with #20 leader. Caught a snook as long as my leg and a 11 lb Jack Crevelle. Doesn’t get any more fun than that.

All those whiting have so many uses. Shark bait, redfish bait...and of course food! I always have a surplus after beach fishing and I'll make fish patties, fish dumplings, fried fish, and baked with it. Beheaded and gutted whole whiting fries up well when small, and smokes alright. The best I think for the big ones is coating in corn flour with salt, pepper, onion, garlic, old bay or Tony chachere's, then eggwash, then panko, frying till done, coating with buffalo sauce, putting it on a french bread bun po boy style with tomatoes, pickles, lettuc, mayo, and maybe some banana peppers. Makes the best buffalo fish po boy out there!

Oh man sammiches for days with those whiting! Bluefish would have made a good bait for big cobiia. Used to fish cape point on Hatteras many years ago. Lots of big reds and sharks. Hatteras long tailed flounder (skates/rays) were plentiful too! 😂

You know what I like about your content? I can let my 6 year old daughter watch your videos knowing that it's always going to be family friendly content. I appreciate that greatly. When I shore fish, I use a meter of redo rod and a meter of 50mm abc pipe.

Put a bowl full of coffee grounds in the cooler for about a week. I had a freezer stop working.with squid in it. I tried everything, Coffee Saved the Freezer!

Awesome video man! I had the same thing happen to me with the same brand sand spike. I even had a fish hit so hard that it pulled the sand spike out of the sand n my rod went for a swim. So what I started doing when ever I set my rods with live bait or cut bait I would set my drag on my reel loose enough to where the fish would just pull drag instead of my rod. Lol

The blue fish up here in New England have a really blue color to them I guess because they travel so far to get up to us in the warmer weather it’s funny to look at them down there and then to look at them up here same species different color love your videos brothers

The best cooler stink remover is to fill cooler about 1/4 full with hot water and a bottle of REAL vanilla extract and let it soak over night.

We catch the big bull whiting at the space center n Florida . My dad used to work there and he would take me out there. It is the best in Florida.. Good times . There is also playlinda beach . Warning clothing is optional. Not for the faint of heart.loved this video brought back good time memories.also the pompano are plentiful. And reds . Never know what u might catch.

I caught a 23 spot redfish fishing a lagoon close to Destin, Florida. Apparently they have tournaments for redfish based on spots and not on weight. Probably would have had a good chance at winning 😂

Very good video but i will advise u to use tripods and surfcasting rods and reels. I am a big fan of fishing against the wind with good waves at the shores, much more chances of catching big fish.
