Cantilever slab extended from beam top - Reinforcements and Construction animation are presented here. The main reinforcement to be placed in the top of cantilever slab. The deflection in cantilever slab can be reduced by providing bottom rebars. The distribution steel may be designed to carry construction loading in propped condition, if necessary.

Very informative video. Is this reinforcement details also applicable to cantilevered rooms with the slab overhanged by just 30 centimeters? Or should beams be provided?

Great video, i have a question, for instance i have a series of the cantilever slab like that in such a way i have to lap the distribution bars, either top or bottom, what position is proper for lapping? aside from normal continuous slabs where it is known that bottom bars are lapped at the supports and top are lapped at the mid span. (moment criteria)

Hi Salim, thanks for you feedback & we are happy to answer your question. In cantilever slab, the moment is taken care by main reinforcements, so distribution reinforcements lapping can be done at anywhere.
