I lost my daughter two weeks ago at the age of 19 years old she took her own life. I've been crying everyday since I can't stop the tears from coming out my eyes. I had to come back to this song for a moment of relief. A part of me has left with her and I'll never be the same again. I love you always and forever Brianna Bell ❤️

I turn 21 this year and this is my favorite song by them along with MPB. And I’m not Christian anymore but just hearing pop sing made me tear up because THIS IS REAL SOUL IN MUSIC. And when it’s good I never let it go after all these years since my gma and uncle stopped playing this around me I’ve been missing something and I couldn’t find it out til my momma sent it to me 29 minutes ago. It made me cry because I bleed, eat, and drink music no matter the genre. But this type of Gospel will forever be apart of me. I live this song because I was blessed with the gift of singing and I never was accepted in the church choir.

You are called and anointed by Almighty God, your Father. He put that in you, that's why you're so passionate about music. Do not ignore your purpose and understand that whatever pushed you away from Christ, you won't feel fulfilled. He's waiting patiently for you to return. Jesus loves you so much.

This touched my soul as well!! It's beautiful, I'd go so far as to say what we feel is the Holy Spirit moving through this. I'm not sure why you departed from the faith, :( but please know God is always calling for our return! (Zechariah 1:3). He will always accept us back with open arms. He leaves the 99 to find the one who went astray. (Luke 15) I hope one day you will use your gifts for His glory! It is such fulfilling experience when you feel the Spirit working through you as you utilize the gifts He's given

One thing about being on this side of heaven none of us get things all right while being here we all fall short of the glory of God all things will finally be perfected once we get to glory so we don’t need to feel to bad or beat our selves up on things we should have or not have done it’s all under the blood we are still attached to this flesh no matter how spiritual or how long we’ve known the lord we may of course grow in certain areas but we get to heaven we will do all things right and love forever the way that Christ loves thinks acts and feels without sin without all of the emotions and personalities we had in the flesh while on earth We just do our best for service now one day we will know truly what love is peace joy fully then And the best thing in world is too know we will all be on one accord and all we know how much we love each other for eternity

Debra Stinson. I agrees with you. I remembered back in my earlier years. Wow church services were Strong and Powerful : not weak like they're now. People's positions of materialists things are of more importance to them. ( I remembered back when we used to worshiped in the Cellar, front rooms etc, school halls etc, you could feels the warmth of " love ".) Then a church was bought , that warmth had vanished. The songwriters ; Give me the old time Religion. eg. Oness with God. ⛪

I can remember in the early 90s me and my younger brother will stay up late only to catch this beautiful song on Gwen soul City and he will make me sing this song while the music played. I had to be at least 9 or 10. We always understood the word of God and the spirit to sing a story. The Canton spirituals always brought tears to my eyes what my brother never knew as I was sangin I was wiping my tears because I always knew and prayed that we will go to heaven even though we are both still living in good health I know God has a plan I still listen to this song in 2024 and every now and then my brother will call me to sing this song especially the father's part. And all the people here that has memories of loved ones that has passed bless your heart Jesus lives

Canton spirituals song singing and heavenly choir reminds me of a young lady in South Carolina. She invited me to go to church with her and I did and it was a little church back in the woods and then they kicked her out of the church when they found out that she was pregnant and not married and she had given those people lots and lots money I just didn't understand it our console her and told her that she didn't need them they needed her money more than she needed them all she needed was to get on her knees and pray to Jesus and ask that her prayer be taken to him to his heavenly Father. AMEN

Thank you to everyone who like my comment regarding the Canton spirituals God bless and keep us God is doing something with this covid no more church as usual no more as we need to get to building fixed and all this things that they're so busy doing but the building's falling down in the churches you know you're doing nasty thing in the churches men sleeping with me and look at it with the Franklin's daddy church he got Aretha Franklin pregnant and they were doing orgies and all kind of stuff in that church so aretha's Franklin's father how was not just Aretha Franklin's father's child but he was also the grandfather as well this is sickening all we need is Jesus he already paid the price Church wants your money but when you go and need you some help from the churches and they got all this stipulations and rules and regulations as to why they can't help you everyone be blessed and be safe doing this covid 19 ending 2020 and it's now February 20 21 oh my God can help us get through this because I feel this was a plan to make they know exactly what they're doing!!!!!!!

Well, this is hard for me, but I have to share this. My mother passed giving birth to me and I was raised by my alcoholic, neglectful father. He always walked around our house naked and insisted that I did as well. Since I knew no better, I did it and thought nothing of it. He would give me baths and touch every part of me gently and lovingly, so I thought nothing of that either. Then, when I was 14, my life changed. I was taking a shower one morning and my father came into the bathroom to use it and saw me there. He raped me and beat me for resisting. I ran away from home THAT DAY and never looked back. My life was a living hell as I spent my days begging for work or food and spent my nights sleeping under trees, bridges and porches. I was homeless for three years and almost died several times from hunger and occasional suicide attempts. This song means a lot to me because my father died when I was 17 and never lived to see me recover from what he had done to me or the life that I suffered. I used to pray for his death and wanted nothing more than to live long enough to see him die and rot in Hell, but the strange thing is that when I got the news of his death, I found that I could not celebrate. I found that I was not happy about his death. Instead, I found myself saddened. I felt sooooo sorry for him. In my own time, I found a way to forgive him for what he had done to me. The funny thing is that I found myself wondering if my dad had believed in GOD, and if he had cried out in his last moments to seek forgiveness. I guess I understand now that if there really is a GOD, and if my dad believed in GOD and cried out to HIM, there is a great possibility that my dad could be "up there" somewhere singing in the Heavenly Choir. I guess my point here is that for each of us, there is a way out of Eternal Damnation. There is a way to Eternal Peace and perhaps a way to Eternal Joy. Maybe my dad made it..... and maybe I will too.
