Brandon Hewitt here with BRandom Fishing and I have a good one for you today! I am starting a new series on the channel that is devoted to camping. More specifically Kayak Camping!
I heard that the MSR 775 ml pot would fit one of these camp stoves perfectly so I had to give it a try. When kayak camping you don't have a lot of room to store everything you need, so being able to put the stove in the pot is a huge space saver.
The stove takes some getting used to. It took me a while to figure out how to get a hot enough fire out of this tiny stove to boil water. I would get those little fish eye bubbles on the bottom of the pot but it was really hard to get a full boil. I figured out if you make the twigs a little longer and let them stick out the top, it made for a bigger and hotter fire.
I used the water to make a cup of coffee with a drip coffee maker and it turned out really good. I can't wait to take this setup to the great outdoors and really put it to work!
