Ahhh, The destruction of a medium-sized Air Force to the Rules of Mad- and/or Genlte-men. This day started with the irl destruction of an Aircraft (Inpsire 2 drone (not mine, but ...)), yet somehow this really cheered me up. Thanks Fellas :P

It appears the small profile of the F5 had the best chance to make it to the MANPADs. However, you fly over the hill and get an S-### in the face everytime. Personally I would have flown an F5, abandoned my team just post-spawn and Caps ID, flown around the back of the terrain and gunned the Humvees. *_“I Love the Smell of Napalm in the Morning. It Smells Like Victory!”_*

To my understanding, the DCS team doesn't add planes that they don't have complete information on the workings of. Given that the F-22 is still in active service, and therefore much about it is still classified, It'll probably be decades before it gets added, assuming DCS is around for that long.

After studying this video for over 1100 hours (metric), I realized several flaws in your strategy and tactics. Firstly, the playback speed, soundtrack, and color settings are all wrong. Playback should be set to 1.75. Two, the soundtrack should be Scott Joplin ragtime piano and B, the color should be set to strict black and white. The choice of aircraft was also misguided. The only plane capable of surviving this run is the JN-4 Jenny which is why we used it back in my day. With a proper load of pigeons aboard to use as chaff and flares. Chaff mode you throw them high into the prop, flare mode would be thrown low using the exhaust to set the shredded bird parts alight confusing the enemy if not all involved. This served us Leathernecks well during the Banana Wars and I'm sure it's the best way still to this day. Knowing how Cap hates buttons, screens and added whirlygigs, it seems the Jenny would be perfect as it only has two gauges, one for fuel and the other for uh-oh!

I don't know about the physics here. When you're missing a wing that plane should be spinning like a drill. (Unless it's an A-10)

Sometimes yes but we also have a moveable surface that can hope to offset that.

ionator2000ist - Ailerons, flaps and trim (on one good wing) doesn't really compensate for an entire missing wing on most planes. Depends on the plane though.

Bovine One look up the f-15 that landed without half a wing. Sometimes enough thrust is all you need.

John Wild - Half a wing is different than a missing wing. Make a paper airplane and cut a wing off and see how it flies.

Dave R - I don't know man. I just think they're pretty standard. Every country has them and they seem pretty basic to me. Don't get me wrong, it's an excellent fighter and it's a combat proven workhorse. It's just my least my least favorite of the fighter jets. I'm just a hater. =)
