Examples Tokido is 38, Daigo is 42, Sako is 44, Gachikun is 31, Haitani is 37, Fujimura is 37, Nemo is 39, Oil King is 38, Fuudo is 38, Bonchan is 36 NuckleDu is 27, AngryBird 25, Mena is 25, Punk is 25. There's only a few top players at teens like Paladin (16) and Ending (17).

If someone told you they dropped rank from Master to Rookie you wouldn't feel sorry for them or accept excuses, you'd tell them to take responsibility for their bad decisions. He won around a quarter million dollars - more than enough to get professional advice on money matters. He had every right to grow (or blow) that money until the tax was actually due. He's not an employee of Capcom so they don't have a duty to withhold taxes and doing so without any legal obligation would have actually been disadvantageous to both parties. Team Liquid had a duty to him, ethically if not contractually, as his sponsor at the time of that big win. IF they dropped the ball and didn't advise such a young winner or put him in touch with a CPA or financial planner then that's shameful. If they (or his family) did warn him, then he whiffed bigtime and received that max punish counter combo. In any case that's not just one whiff, unless he blew it all on a Lambo. He must have passed up many opportunities to make better decisions. Yeah ok, of course the sponsor probably takes around 20% and leaves him with "only" 200k. Yeah he was barely an adult at the time, so maybe he blows 10% - he's earned a 20k shopping spree, who could knock him for it? At that point he's still sitting on ~180k fam and it was 2016 so the modern internet existed - he could have Googled up a reputable money manager or the best performing strategies for protecting/growing his windfall if he wanted to DIY it. If he had conservatively picked an S&P 500 index fund he'd be cozy right now. If he'd grabbed some Tesla stock he'd be big chillin'. If he'd picked up some Bitcoin from around December 2016 to March 2017 at around each $900 he'd have gotten multiple chances to get out at over $60k a pop. That's over 65x, possibly 12 MILLION BUCKS (max) depending on how much he invested. He could have kept another 20K pocket money plus withdrawn portions of it for ongoing living expenses the whole time without taking any loss - it never went under 900 bucks again. He'd still be up around 10 Milli... So yeah, I feel extremely sad too... Because an opportunity like that rarely knocks twice (no Mena).
