A short day's walk along to Comrie whilst "resting" at home, and then restarting the journey proper from there a couple of days later, walking to Auchterarder and staying at a hotel. A very long 27 mile day followed (with just a small pack) as I cross the Ochill Hills and Lomond Hills to visit the folks' house. Then the next day I'd set off along the Fife Pilgrim Trail to South Queensferry, again staying at a small hotel after enjoying a social evening with family.
There are some nice wildlife scenes, and hopefully you can enjoy watching the landscape change as I did whilst walking towards the border.

There's so many little paths and trails that you don't realise are there when you whizz along the main A roads in the car. Enjoyed seeing that, thanks

Hi Scott, this episode continued in the change of scenery, but just as beautiful in its own right. You certainly chose the best months for the weather to do this walk. Loving watching this series. All the best mate, Dave

It's always good seeing your latest adventure but Part 6 (CW to LE) was highly anticipated because I lived in Auchterarder for twenty four years. One of my favourite walks with the dogs was to go under the motorway, where you were, and head up to the railway bridge through the woods. In spring, the bluebells were like a blue carpet. My son's friend's dad farmed the slopes of Craig Rossie. There was a calf that had slipped into a gully. Eventually a quad bike and some rope was used to pull and push it to safety. The lads were pushing it up the slope when it pooped! Congratulations to your folks, Scott. They both look fit as fiddles.

Thanks Mike, it would have been lovely having the Ochills and Craig rossie so close by! Funny you mention the calf as I would encounter a similar situation much later in my walk! You probably recognised Corb Glen too - looks like it's getting spruced up 😉

@@endorphins479 My son went to Auchterarder Primary and he became friends with a lad from Frandy Farm. So my walks were mostly from Glen Eagles. I'm looking forward to seeing your incident with a calf!

@m1klgordon was more a spectator and it was a full size cow in a ditch, tho I did get a bit of a role to play - can't remember if any of it is on video but will find out when I edit that part in 2030 or something 😉

@endorphins479
@endorphins479 10 ай бұрын
No offence to the West Highland Way its beautiful, but I've seen a lot of it over the years and given I'd taken 3 months off work I was much more inspired to go explore new stuff where practical! As you may have noticed in the vlog that's when I'm buzzing (unlike the whole of part 6 tbh where it was all familiar ground and its as if I'd accidentally been drinking decaf coffee each of those mornings)

@@endorphins479 So how do you follow this Scott? Does it have to be one of the big ones in America? Or perhaps something in the Himalayas?
@endorphins479

@paulhuggan-cammack2928 never say never but right now I'm so contented just to be home and enjoying what's on the doorstep and the freedom to run off trail in the hills like I did earlier today. But that'l Lands end walk was my 4th epic journey (including himalayas trek and cycling from San Francisco to Newfoundland in 2005 😅) so yeah, no idea mate!

Yey you managed to get to Edinburgh where I live :) Queens Ferry is awesome for a walk and to relax. Could I ask what do you use to make this animation from where you start and to where you finish on the map? I am planning to make my own videos eventually and would be nice to show it on the maps too. ATb
