This is awesome, I kept hoping I'd find somewhere to connect more with my favorite Italian artists, like Sfera, Capo, Anna, Shiva, etc., and you are it, this is awesome, I'm not even Italian, I'm Colombian, born and raised in Jackson Heights, Queens, and thankfully my Spanish is good enough to where I can still enjoy these songs, without understanding every single word they're spitting, but more than that, you can't deny good quality music, from the beats, to the production, to the lyrics, to the rhythm and flow of these artists, to the overall product that these young Italian artists are putting out, this is awesome, the French are doing their thing too, like Bené, and so forth........this is really cool, that I get to hear them in English. i think the neomelodica corridos are pretty indicitive and identifying of italian rap whereas the north is very maghrebi french influenced for sure and the golden age was bigin turin milan varese and in rome mixtape trap was huge and sardinian roman cypress hill gfunk, yeah the neomelodica is the most italian feeling of it all imo although they borrow heavy from puerto rico trappaeton and mexican trap corridos but it is still very Mediterranean feeling with the mandolin the tarantelle beat and the almost arabic tremolo singing all done in the southern languages but yeah i think italy is gonna blow up and its gonna be the maghribs and southern italians to reap it because of world connections from the diaspora. think of italglais rappers tommy and skt in london shit is growing
