The video shows images of hikes and excursions on the mediterranean island of Capri in Italy. The animated series of images with a total of 77 photos shows the landscapes and attractions of the island, of which Villa Jovis, Arco Naturale, Grotta di Matermania, Pizzolungo and Belvedere di Tragara in the east of the island. In the center of the island, Scala Fenicia in the north and the reopened Via Krupp in the south. And in the west of the island Monte Solaro, the lighthouse of Punta Carena and Sentiero dei Fortini.
The video begins with a virtual drone that flies from Naples along the coast to the Sorrento peninsula and finally lands on the island of Capri.

Erstaunliche Aufnahmen. Interessanter virtueller Drohnenkampf.

Viele Bilder im Video sehen aus als ob von einer Drohne aufgenommen, sind aber tatsächlich von mir selbst von einem festen Standort aus mit Zoom fotografiert. Nur der einleitende Google Earth Drohnenflug in 4000 Metern Höhe ist natürlich virtuell. Musste aber natürlich selbst die Flugbahn in Google Earth programmieren. 😉

Here is my homage to The Villa of San Michele which was built by the Swedish doctor Axel Munthe on the ruins of a Roman Emperor' s palace. It is one of the most romantic and beautiful building in the world. Munthe wrote a best selling novel and chapter 11 tells the story of how he began to build it. I made this during Covid. I did visit the Villa of San Michele, when I came up on the Scala Fenicia from Marina Grande. A steep walk with a denivelation of 300 meters, which ended up exactly at the villa with beautiful panoramic views. Much recommended indeed to visit the villa with the museum of Axel Munthe.
