Capriccio Spagnuolo Op.276 is arguably Munier's most popular composition for the mandolin and guitar duo. Performed here by Marissa Carroll and Joel Woods in Brisbane, Australia, April 2013.

So great to see two young people interested in Munier's music and playing mandolin! I so love this piece of music. I want to learn it so badly. Total show piece. It is my favorite mandolin piece. It has so many different moods. You guys really played this well. That was reeeeeally good! Much deserved applause. You clearly enjoy playing it. I didn't hear one missed note either. Just grand. Thank you for sharing this video of you performing it.

I have always been a big fan of Munier's works and with Joel's great guitar playing they are a joy to perform. Hope to have some more to show soon.

Carlo Aonzo played this Munier tune at the mandolin symposium in Santa Cruz the first time I heard it. I've delved into it before, will get back into it, although I would love to ever play it this clean.

Hi Monique and all, and thank you for your kind comments. We have found so much interesting music arranged for mandolin and guitar duo which is an ideal and complementary combination for these closely-related instruments with quite different tonalities.

As a kid I studied Guitar and my teacher played the mandolin. My Sicilian heritage gravitates to this wonderful combo. Your performance here as well as all else I have heard are stunning in tone, musicality and drama. My highest regards and respect-John

I must have gotten the wax out of my left ear cuz I heard the guitar very distinctly that time. They are both great young musicians. I really liked the nods and looks. Cute. I play mandolin so i usually concentrate on the mandolin. It was great to hear the guitar. He plays very well. Superb performance. Lots of practice in that one!!

Hi Marissa! I've got a little request. Could I have the name of your mandolin's luthier (the one you play in this video)? Is he/she still alive? If you've got that information it would be very helpful. Thanks in advance. And congratulations for such a beautiful performance. ^_^

This is a very nice performance of you, and a beautiful piece of music! But I have a question, a thing, which makes me ridiculous: Your small finger lasts on the mandolin when you play it. I'm from Germany, and here every student gets told, that he should NOT do that :D Is there any reason, why you do it, or is this just a habit of you? I really wonder, how you are that good with this finger on the mandolin^^
