This is what I thought the MCU should’ve been doing, more genre focused films, marvel characters are so diverse and can fit into a lot of things. Political thrillers, Spy movies, horror, Cop movies, etc

@@darknightnorris5134 To be fair, I feel they still have been doing that. As much as I enjoy all the movies/shows still (some of my more recent faves have come from the newer phases), I think the problem is the scripts/writing hasn’t been as sharp, or there hasn’t been as much a correct balance between letting creators cook and adhering to the Marvel “formula”.

@@Xtra_MediumHis stories tend to be political, so writers are probably worry about writing anything that is remotely not status quo-ish and get in trouble. Plus, what super villain from other places today can they write and elavate that people won't go "Come on, really? We have eyes. America is the villain".

I can buy them taking over a government or supervillain-made base made inside a dead Celestial more than the Avengers themselves hollowing out a cosmic being for use as a base. That decision from the comics always struck me as a bit squicky.

For some reason, I really like the idea of Harrison Ford as Red Hulk, but I also would've liked to see Tom Selleck as Ross to keep the mustache (and it would've been a fun in-joke since Tom Selleck was a front runner for Indiana Jones).

I don't want more 70+ actors taking roles that are being set up for multiple movies, with arcs riding on them. Because we've already had too many pass, so the entire plan had to get rewritten.

@@kyleellis1825 For a character like Ross you don't really have a choice, the character is in that 60s to 70s range, especially within the MCU continuity. I don't have a problem with recasting and rebooting, since that's simply the timeless nature of comic books and these are comic book movies.

@@HyraxusPrimus My point is, with how often they've had to replan everything over the loss of an actor or even just a scandle, pinnig everything on one actor is a bad choice. If we're doing Ross, plan for his arc to be a 3 movie thing, that's mostly wrapped up by his Avengers movie. Don't draw it out for 3 phases.

I'm honestly expecting him to only be in this one movie and then be retired for good, or if they do continue the character he'll just be CGI Red Hulk permanently and any voice actor can play him (like Red Skull). I'm still fuzzy on what exactly the phases are post Endgame. Everyone still seems to be off doing their own separate thing without much buildup.

@@HyraxusPrimus To be fair, I hadn't considered them skipping ahead to Red Hulk and just using the guy as voice actor. But the reason I assume Ross will be around for more than 1 phase, is because of how long he's already been around. Incredible Hulk is still canon and he was in Civil War. So since it's been confirmed we're getting another Hulk trilogy squished inside 3 other movies, I felt that had to be at least 2 phases. That's another 5-7 years.

Hopefully Disney will re-promote the Falcon and Winter Soldier mini-series nearer the time of the movie's release. The streaming series had a lot of great social commentary that people who may not have watched it might enjoy and appreciate.

I remember the first Iron Man teaser. Everyone complained about the shot where Iron Man took out the tank with one missile. Everyone said the CGI was terrible, and said it was going to be a bad movie because of one CGI shot from the movie that was not even finished yet. Fans get out of hand sometimes.

I’d watch that. They set up these legacy and new characters in phase 2-4 and then kinda dumped them in a bunch of TV shows while introducing even newer characters in the movies without developing any interest in them ahead of time. Hopefully this is a sign of getting things back on track.

I think it’s important to note that they are making World War Hulk, so all the Hulk characters in this will probably lead into that. Also, the release date probably has more to do with the timing of the presidential election and inauguration than a niche A24 horror film.

Gonna be straight up honest i didnt even know there was another captain america. I may be marveled out, i never watched the captain and winter soldier ...i dont know. I dont watch as many movies anymore and when i do i want them to be like...great, which for me is usually an indie horror or scifi like Late Night with the Devil and such. Comic wise im goinf thru 3 books on dc universe infinite, on marvel unlimited 2 classic stories and just started rereading hox pox to really get the Hickman xmen era before reading the stuff i missed. I want to see characters watching Star Wars but the cast is deep faked as other actors who went for the part on screen behind someone in a MCU film.

I was unimpressed. I’m really upset about the small things that add up like Captain America suit. It’s just Steve’s traditional colors, the last one was perfect. Why did they get rid of it? Why did they give Captain America a helmet to cover his face? It feels like they’re deliberately trying to trick audiences to buy tickets for this movie. Thinking it’s still Steve Rodgers.

Nice reaction. But,why have a Red Hulk..when they didn't flesh out the Ruffalo Hulk from the past movies. Why bring in a red clone?? This is very anti fan... plus..Indy/Hahn/Ryan is too old to keep a future franchise going...if they wish to continue this new image. CGI can do only so much de-aging protocols. Loved the trailer....the suit looks impressive...I just hope Marvel can pull this off..(with all the reported delays and rewrites)..marvel needs a solid hit, for a change. Fingers crossed!!!

Hmm, it’s a cool looking trailer, but at this point, I do t really trust Marvel to put out anything good. Since Endgame, the only thing I’ve really enjoyed was Spider-Man 3. Sam flying through a jet’s wing… yeah, that’s hard to swallow for a normal dude in non-Ironman suit. Stuff like that makes me roll my eyes and think that I probably won’t see it in theaters.

He died. They buried him in the first episode of Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

@@brianadkins3880 no one was buried in Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The scene that you're referring to is one where they're all dressed up in their fancy clothes looking somber? That's at the Smithsonian where Sam is giving the shield that Steve Rogers gave to him, he's giving it to the Smithsonian. But at no point is there a funeral or burial in that episode or any of the other episodes of that show.
