This news isn’t all bad however, as Marvel Studios is doing reshoots for Captain America Brave New World and is fixing 3 major scenes from the movie in order to make the film better than it is now.

The Leader should have always been introduced in a Hulk movie since he's traditionally been one of Hulk's own arch-enemies, but the MCU just left that small tease of Sterns becoming Leader at the end of the 2008 Incredible Hulk movie dangling for way too long that you'd almost think even they forgot all about it.

The Person who is reporting the rumor OH How I Mavel those Marvels is saying that the politics is not divisive, the politics are boring and un-engaging. They also note lack of chemistry between Sam and the female lead. A simple fix is cast Simone Missick since Misty Knight is Sam’s love interest in the comics. Have another writer punch up some of the dialogue or maybe hire a better editor and wait for the reshoots to complete since they start in may. IDK if they did another test screening since they already tested it in January and they had decided for extensive reshoots. No one was clear on that. It seems a bit redundant to do another test screening after deciding to reshoot after a test screening 2 months ago. I think Misty Knight is a better fit for love interest anyway.

Please tell me that Cap is going to assemble a team of Avengers in Cap 4, and that it’s going to happen in the 3rd act. They had the Avengers in Captain America 3, Captain America 4 might not do well if you don’t include the Avengers. It’s one of the best rumors about this film, plus it will help Brave New World do better than the past three movies. The past three Captain America movies really set the bar high, especially Civil War.

They should lean into the Disney plus show more. I know people weren’t super hype on The Marvels, but to me the reason that movie worked was Kamala Khan and her family. Monica Rambeau was a stand out and really shined as well. Carol was still pretty unlikable in my opinion but they made that an internal battle for her. I don’t like me either, was a pretty good direction for her. I think all the seeding they did on those heroes made the movie while Carols arc felt like, we missed half of a movie and jumped into the action. I think if they did the same for Sam Wilson people might actually really like it. It introduced Isaiah Bradley and gave us a really strong actor for that role. Bucky got more story development. Sam had a family introduced. Lean into this stuff.

The movie was pushed back and reshoots were announced before this test screening so my thoughts are that they already knew that changes had to come the rest screening was to fine tooth everything that they may have missed so I agree still a good thing and I am sure that they are determined to have a good movie as the next movie after Deadpool and wolverine which is going to be a massive success

I think people are getting this wrong in the comments. This test screening reactions was from LAST YEAR before they had DELAYED the film. This isn’t recent because of the rewrites and reshoots and all.. this is an old screening with more details on the problems the audiences had with it.

I'm starting to think that the problem is with the writers of the scripts for the movies. It seems to me like the writers are not coming in to it with their heart. Take the movies that performed well and were well written, pay that person(s) their fair worth and maybe they will continue to crank out content that is worth investing time and resources in, and continue to match the success of Infinity War and Endgame. js

Sad that Marvel obviously knows how polarizing this movie already will be cause the new cap is black so they’re going to smooth off any edges to not ruffle any feathers and give us a watered down film. The politics should be a central part of this film given the character and trying to avoid that or step around it will hurt the movie

I mean, if that's true, it may have to do with Captain America no longer being played by Chris Evans. But it has red Hulk and potentially other heroes. You should be able to make it at least good. Anothny Mackie is an amazing actor. This was a movie I was looking forward too especially with it having red hulk on the big screen finally. Its better for CA4 leads Small group of Street Avenger (Daredevil, Iron Fist, Winter Soldier, White Tiger, Electra, etc) for more strength character of SW & focus story

I think the time lag might be a factor, too. It's just hard to feel much attachment to a main character you last saw YEARS AGO in a middling and very short TV miniseries. An audience reaction of "Captain who?" is pretty understandable after all this time.

whatever happens, they have to let Harrison Ford shout "get off my plane!", turn into Red Hulk, and start throwing bodies off of Air Force One. that scene alone will at least get them to breakeven.

Unless he has the power of Steve Rogers, any other Captain America will fall short. Audiences like their superheroes to be super; not just good hearted people with pretty much ordinary abilities.

It's the good they had in the series that was not well put out too. Marvel should get it ironic and street level. The team is still not assembled yet.
