You have to remember that when these comics came out in the 60’s that WWII happened only 20-years prior. Now that the timeline has been pushed back 80 years, it makes more sense for T’Chanda to be there instead of T’Chaka.

This game looks amazing. I heard that this is supposed to T’Challa’s grandfather hence the whole 1943 name and I think this is awesome. Remind me of the episode of What If?… when they created the avengers in the 80s and Howard Stark brought up the fact that it was T’Challa’s grandfather that provided the vibration for the shield.

I guess Azzuri didn't in fact "provide" the vibranium but American somehow stole it from Wakanda and made weapons out of it. Maybe that's why Azzuri was so mad and said the vibranium shield doesn't belong to cap and he's unworthy to have it.

(Just my opinion) I believe King Azzuri said “that shield doesn’t belong to you” not because he isn’t Steve Rodgers because it is Steve Rodgers but because the shield is made out of vibranium and vibranium was discovered in WAKANDA. And WAKANDA took ownership of the vibranium so when America got their hands on it, he took it personal.
