It's more so the experience because of how late Cap came back into the field compared to everyone else due to being frozen, later on Cap becomes better overall. The vibranium arm also does a lot of the work/heavy lifting... literally

I would say there’s a difference. Steve was trained to be a soldier. Bucky was trained to kill. Remember what Dr. Abraham Erskine said to Steve,”What’s good becomes better and what’s bad becomes worse.” Bucky wasn’t bad, he was brainwashed and that’s what makes Steve better, in my opinion.

Steve is faster and stronger, likely tougher, but Bucky/The Winter Soldier is clearly state-of-the-art trained in any and all combat tactics. That Steve still won the fight shows just how good he is at improvising, more than anything. Also, one of the saddest reveals in the films-Steve knew after this scene he'd likely have to fight a man he considered his brother, who he lost before he went into the ice, to the death to save the world from Hydra...

Yeah, Steve didn't win cause Bucky wasn't even close to done, Natasha interrupted them. The thing is, when Bucky goes into Winter Soldier mode, he doesn't stop, EVER, his programming won't allow his mind to stop til he completes his mission. You saw this at the end of the film and again in CW, he was tanking tony in his armor til tony shot his arm off.

The Winter Soldier knows no direction but due forward. Cap takes the initiative briefly more then once, but every time Bucky takes it right back. This film is just thru and thru STILL amazing. Edit: i gotta tell ya, Captain America going AT The Winter Soldier is fucking badass.

The only thing wrong with this entire scene was that they should have had Bucky look out of breath or at least affected from the fight when they reveal his face. When I saw this movie in theaters, the entire audience busted out laughing because of the jarring transition from a furious fight to an almost melodramatic emo boy reveal. Like if his hair or his expression was ANYTHING but the combination it was here, it would have been fine.

The thing is, Natasha would have known to run in a serpentine path to make shooting her more difficult. Yet they show her running in a straight line. Doesn't make sense for her character.

I think widows like to use the element of surprise more so than head on. Plus it was more of a distraction than actuslly trying to do anything. She knew she wasn’t going to subdue him. Anything to keep him a little occupied so he wasn’t hurting anyone else
