Rafale Solo display demo at Evreux Air Show with captain Sébastien 'Babouc' Nativel, new rafale solo display since May.
- preparation and pre-flight 'musique'
- Rafale engines cold start-up
- and exceptional sharing moments with the public right off the cockpit.
I have never seen such a kind pilot. We need such a star. Awesome !

That negative G pushover maneuver he did starting @8:24 is insane! You rarely see that performed because of how dangerous it is, to the aircraft (which are mostly designed to perform positive Gs and the negative ones are counter productive to the moving surfaces and the airframe) and could also cause disorientation if pilot is not used to it. Great performance and man that Rafale is a sweet-looking aircraft!

Il me semble que le Capitaine Babouc est originaire de l'Ile de la Réunion. Ce qui prouve que la France des DOM et des TOM ont aussi des talents monstrueux. Cette vidéo est géniale car elle présente TOUS les aspects de la démo: check de l'avion, répétition, préparation avec son "rampant", démo et... Sourires et autographes aux enfants. Excellent!

To be honest, I've seen the same day the F16 belgium pilot greeting the crowd too just after his flight. But Captain Babouc is different, being so natural and kind, with someting of Tom Cruise smile.

Fox j'allais mettre exactement le même commentaire!!! C'est vraiment la classe!!! Il vient de se taper 20 minutes d'efforts intenses, des 10G positifs et des négatifs, et à peine posé, la première chose qu'il fait c'est d'aller à la rencontre de son public.... Même pas le temps de boire un coup!. Vraiment la CLASSE Babouc!!!!

Je suis toujours autant bluffé devant la beauté, l'élégance de cet appareil. Marcel Dassault avait raison quand il disait que lorsqu'un avion est beau, il ne peut que bien voler. Quand les lois de l'esthétique rejoignent celles de l'aérodynamique et de la mécanique des fluides, ça donne un pur chef-d'œuvre, et un pilote d'exception ne peut que sublimer les performances de cette bête de race...

Amazing video. I love that you showed the pre and post flight procedures. It's amazing to see just how much work goes into these shows on the part of the pilot, ground crew (unsung heroes in my opinion). And awesome to see him greet the onlookers afterwards. Good stuff!

Cool performance and a great lead by Babouc going out of his way to greet first hand the airshow goers. Beau geste!!!. All airshow pilots should follow into his footsteps as they are top performers and people welcome the chance to shake hands with their idols. I'd absolutely do!!!!

The French people must be very proud to see their Rafale put through its paces so elegantly by this ace pilot . We have Rafale fighters in our Egyptian Air Force . Very proud to have such an advanced aircraft in our defense .

oui , merci , nous sommes tous fiers de notre Rafale , le Rafale a combattu le F22 en 2009 aux Emirats lors de l'ATLC , sur 6 combats , il y a eu 5 nuls et une victoire du Rafale visible dans la vidéo RAFALE VS F22 sur youtube ! le Rafale a rencontré l'Eurofighter , sur 18 combats , le Rafale en a gagné 16 ! 4 à0 et 3 /1 ( en mode dégradé ) lors de l'ATLC aux Emirats en 2009 et encore en 2009 à la base de Solenzara en Corse ( France ) 9 à 1 ! le Rafale a battu le F16 6 à 2 lors d'un RED FLAG aux USA ! le Rafale a ridiculisé le F16 CJ conçu uniquement pour la détection de cibles au sol et leur destruction , le Rafale omni rôle a détecté des cibles au sol à 35/40 km que le F16 n'avait pas vu , et avec son OSF , le pilote du Rafale a même pu vérifier si les cibles étaient ami ou ennemi , ce que le F16 ne peut pas faire ! deux Rafales emportent 19000 kg d'arment alors que 3 Gripen NG ( suédois ) emportent que seulement 17500 kg !! les pilotes Suisses lors de l'évaluation entre le Rafale , l'Eurofighter et le Gripen l'ont classé premier du concours , les pilotes Suisses ont même dit que le Rafale est supérieur au F18 américains ! lors d'entrainement aux USA , le Rafale a battu des F18 et des F15 ! le Rafale reste invaincu pour l'instant ! on parle de leurres actifs qui équiperont le Rafale pour contrer les missiles EM ennemi et il y aura une amélioration du radar RBE2 AESA pour lui permettre de détecter les avions et missile furtifs !

Oui, j'avoue que je n'avais jamais vu ça. Cela dit, ce n'est pas si exceptionnel car le même jour, le pilote du F16 demo display belge est aussi allé à la rencontre du public. La différence est dans la manière. Babouc, c'est pas un pilote superman qui s'oblige à rencontrer le peuple, c'est un ami qui vous rend visite

il faut pas comparer les capacités limités d'un F16 avec le Rafale , le Rafale peut aller jusqu'à 11G , le F16 est moins fatiguant ! le Rafale a la réputation de mettre en vrac le dos des pilotes tellement il est brutal ! et c'est pas de moi mais d'un pilote anglais peter Collins !

This bright French Air Force captain is from the French island of La Réunion, a nice Indian Ocean isle next to Mauricius island. He is the pride of this paradise like tropical island where the population is so mixed ( many from Indian or Malay origin mixed with local créoles and with French from continental France ) and where the life is so pleasant !

Le décollage est bluffant ! Je me rappelle avoir regardé le display du Rafale à Kleine-Brogel en compagnie d'un pilote de F-15C du 493 FS de Lankenheath. Le pilote US était assez admiratif des manoeuvres réalisées.
