Second Episode of Captain Midnight with the re-dubbed Jet Jackson Title.
A State of the Art guided missile has been created and Captain Midnight has been invited to view the Demonstrations. but when the creator of the missile isn't present, Captain Midnight sets out to find out why, and unravels a devious plot.

Due to Copyright issued by The Wander Company, Episodes were redubbed at a later date to the name Jet Jackson, Flying Commando

Excellent quality print. Bet this looks better than it did the day broadcast over to our old rabbit ears. I was 2 months old so I don't remember.

Video calls have been in sci-fi movies as far back as Fritz Lang's "Metropolis" in 1927 as well as the Flash Gordon serials of the 30s, & I'm sure drones were already a thing back when this show was made. (Not the kind that anyone can buy today, of course.)

I don't know anything about the Jet Jackson rebranding but I saw this on tv as well as a little boy. We sent for an Ovaltine mug too. Ovaltine is still around someplace, probably on the Internet.

I remember at age 6 one Saturday my dad came home for lunch from the gas station and he drew and cut out jet Jackson's symbol and taped to my shirt. I ran out side and showed my friends .😂🎉

OMG when my brother and I were kids we used to make fun of the ridiculously obivously dubbed in name change: one of us would mouth "Captain Midnight" while the other shouted "Jet Jackson!" Not sure why they bothered but my best guess is it might have had something to do with CM's sponsor Ovaltine possibly dropping the show (the actor would do Ovaltine commercials in character within the show) and owning the character Captain Midnight, taking the name with them.

Back in the fifties - as a kid - couldn't wait to pry open my box of Cheerios cereal to get the little prize inside - a Nike missile!

Mine was white plastic and the spring loaded launcher was green or blue.

In illinois he was jet Jackson in other parts of country he was capt midnight. But whatever the name he was cool!😊

@21:12 Judd Holdren would play Captain Video and Comando Cody in Colombia Serials. Nice cameo. also, both he and Richard Webb, the star of this show, would each eventually go on to commit suicide. :(

I think I'm getting the chrome silver decoder ring with an alphabet dial on it and the space ship ring with a tiny magnifying glass as the cockpit shell.
