I think a lot of the songs on the new album are close to the psalms in the Bible. A lot of them relate to the human condition that we are broken, we are hurt, we need a savior. People argue that old hymns are better because of their deep theology and I can sometimes agree but this album keeps it real and the lyrics are relatable, poetic, artistic, well thought out. They have excellent musicians that are just geniuses. This album moves me in so many ways, it's just beautiful.

This is so true! Some people think the album is just okay, because they get caught up in the musicality and disregard the lyrics. But lyrically, this album is masterpiece! God definitely showered down grace on them with this one. I didn't even know that the songs were so deep. I thought I knew what they were saying, but I was so wrong, lol. But man, the lyrics on this album are poetic and beyond beautiful. It's like I'm discovering this album for the first time after having it for over a year. I feel like I need to print the lyrics out and just meditate on them daily.

When I started to follow Jesus more, suddenly all of my old "friends" started to disappear. That moment I started to feel so alone, but then I trusted and Ioved my Captain even more, through the dark only he guiding me. Now I feel so complete and incredibly happy. I LOVE YOU JESUS

I felt the same way as you bro, but there is 1 thing that helped me: I surrounded myself with people that got me closer to God! And it helps a lot, trust me! And let's not forget the mission God gave us, to make disciples, and even Christ use to hang out with gangsters, thieves and prostitutes, but preaching them the Word more importantly! ;)

His guidance is like a wind that swept out all the gray and dark skies ahead of us. He swept out every bad things that make us can't take a step ahead. And with that he reassuring us we can going trough this open sea; the world, filled with unexpected things. "Like the stars, Your word Will align my voyage. And remind me where I've been And where I am going" - Stars are like a map that will pointing out places while we are on the open sea. Every word that came out of God's mouth is like a stars, they directing us to the right line. With that we remember where we have been before, how far he has been taking us from our start point and where our destination is: reaching our destiny and his calling, giving all the glory to God alone

Oh how i love the deep word of this song...! Very reassuring statements..Thanks Hillsong. God has used you through this song to reassure me of his presence in my life and that I should always look at Him the 'Captain' of my life instead of at the turbulence of life's sea. I particularly love the analogy made in this song which compared our lives(ship) in this world (open sea) to a ship out in the dark and unknown sea (through waters uncharted) we are reminded through this song that Jesus (the captain) holds the wheel of our lives (ship) out here in this uncharted waters (world/life) and because he's the captain, he we are bold to follow him/his voice/his direction (straight into dark) As the captain of our lives (ship) he guides us like the wind and goes ahead of us to make crooked paths straight (clear the skies before me) and because he did/does that we will then have a smooth/easy time (and I'll glide this open sea) Like the stars out in the sea, His word will give us direction and eliminate confusion, help us find our way and help us know we are in the right place (like the stars your word will align my voyage). Dear Lord, guide me through this unknown sea of life. because you're with me I will not be afraid amidst fear, fog and shallows. Jesus the captain of my life! Please pray for me! I get sick very often and my ears are very weak and they get blocked all the time! My left ear cannot hear as well as my right hear. Both my ears ache often. My throat also gets affected easily. It aches and I hvae to clear my throat all the time. There is phelgm and it gets painful in my ear and my throat when I swallow sometimes. Please pray for me, brothers and sisters!

+Eliza Beth Please, let me share u my experience of remaining healthy. In time of you are sick meditate that Jesus is wounded for your infirmities. Do not think of unhealthy is will of God. Every negative implications on our body and soul are from the dark. Just think that God is always ready to heal you. For that sake He always send Angels to serve you like a doctor. Do not hesitate to order Angels around you in the name of Jesus. God is faithful.
