There is just no way that an army of 7 million armed with spears/swards and shields would ever have gotten through that first and second beach line...just not believable.

That star-wars sword(sorry the name) combined with the firing squad behind is such devastating since the sword is too good at blocking. Why not wedge them here and there and bypass them, never bother to demolish them all. They seem to be immobile anyway. And get to the firing squad quickly, in contact you can mow them away. At distance, they are devastating.

Silly, but fun. Guys with lightsabers seem pretty useless. They block the fire of the tanks and gunners behind them. Pull your first defense line back to the base of the bluff. Put MG teams with the tanks, backed by more artillery and mortars. Stack more heavy machine guns up the bluffs. As Iong as their ammo holds out, that attacking crowd wouldn't get past the beach obstacles.

All these battles result in a Pyrrhic victory with the victors losing great numbers. The Roman general should have flanked and gotten rid of artillery first instead of a full frontal assault -- but it's just a fun video game after all full of bloodshed, not a strategy game. The advantage of Battle Simulator 2 is to show the vast scale of battles, which previous games and war movies have had a hard time showing.

If a modern army sees that 7 million sword soldiers are coming to attack them, it will use planes with cluster bombs and, ultimately, tactical nuclear weapons. the modern army will always win

It would be interesting to see how the battle could be balanced with some more realism. Units in these games never run out of ammo or need resupply. Also, the tanks are somehow vulnerable to foot soldiers who have no weapons capable of anything beyond cutting, stabbing and blugeoning. In real life, the soldiers with firearms would either quickly run out of ammo and have to retreat or else need resupply troops (which could be attacked as a strategy). And the tanks and similar armaments would be all but invulnerable. I can see a case for allowing modern cannon and missile launchers to be "destroyed" since it would represent the elimination of the crew operating the weapon, but it's not the same for tanks. And the tanks should be able to just run right over most soldiers when the tank runs out of ammo. It's still an entertaining video of course, but you need to put your mind into "watching a movie - suspend disbelief" mode first.

This kind of ancient military tactics, protect your flank, you will win at the first line of defense!!!

mortars, flamethrowers, machine guns, gatling guns would've been much more effective than flac 88, germans could've used machine pistols better than rifles. Where were the machine guns? The ww1 and 2 rifles could take down 2 or 3 men per shot and the 88s were firing too slow. Infantry can't destroy a tank without gear to do it. Unfair...
