6 Sea Animals That Asked People for Help (people actually help) part 2. Have you ever thought of the possibility of animals asking humans for help? Take a trip outside and an animal approaches you in discomfort? I’m Captain Drake, your pilot for today and I’ll be taking you through videos of 6 Sea animals asking for help from humans.
Sperm whales are intelligent and social creatures. In this video you'll see a Sperm Whale asking' diver for help as there is hook stuck in its mouth & let the diver help him(or her) out. You will also see Jane Headley and her husband save an entangled Manta Ray on their scuba trip in the Philippines, and humans saving sharks and a dolphing saving.

The sperm whale just relaxing as the diver helps him was just amazing. A giant of the ocean being trusting of a human will probably be a memory he'll always cherish.

Well done! Watching someone removing something that is causing a creature misery and pain is uplifting. I remember years agoI took a turtle that was on the road i was driving on which had its shell cracked(probably from being run over by a moving vehicle) to a centre that could give it medical care. Unfortunately it died from its injuries or so they told me when I called back to check on his condition, which made me sad for him. Still just trying to help the little guy was important. So I get what these people are doing and that's nice to witness👍

#3 That was a mother and calf situation. Notice how much joy is the mother experiencing when her baby is returned to the water.

A vast amount of garbage in the ocean wasn't dumped there directly. It comes from people who litter on land. Trash washes into rivers and streams, and sewers that directly feed the waterways. People who litter think it's no big deal, but they're the people harming the oceans.

#5 was impressive. I bet most of those attempts would fail, not to mention how dangerous it would be (so very few would attempt it). #2 That was a LOT of lines. That was SO much. I would just deem that to be a hopeless case. And yet, these heroes saved the whale after who knows how many hrs. Amazing.

@@kellycastle7243 Yeah I hope things get better too with more awareness. Part of the problem too is overconsumption that people do (which is hard to escape from since, capitalistic society or not, simply existing comes with the needs to consume and having a carbon footprint).

We can each be helpful to these creatures by being ultra aware of our trash and being mindful of how each piece affects wildlife. For those who can't give it any thought there are folks like this, sometimes in the right place, at the right time ...who have a big heart and the courage to act.

Can't be sure what else they get wrong, but the whale shark wasn't opening and closing to show something was a miss, anymore than it was feeding. That's how they feed. They eat small stuff, and that's what it was feeding on in the video... so.. probably just feeding.

About the manta ray, I don´t think it was "fighting back". If it did not want the people to touch it, it could easily have swam away, so it probably knew what they were doing. Mantas are smart. Sure, it flinched, but I do that as well when something hurts, however well I know it is nessecary. Just ask my annoyed dentist :)

What a crock, whale sharks are not dangerous and it’s ridiculous to call them a sea monster. They are filter feeders, meaning they eat the things in the ocean…plankton. I went snorkeling with them about 4 or 5 years ago and it was an absolutely beautiful experience and I can’t wait to do it again! While snorkeling with the whale sharks we also got to see and snorkel with manta rays seeing both were on my bucket list so I got a two for one.
