As always your tutorials are first-rate. Along with learning how to use the Capture One tools, after watching your tutorials, I'm often reminded that it's not necessary to use every available tool. Sometimes simple fixes are what is needed. Many of us have heard of the KISS method (Keep It Simple Stupid). I am often reminded of that method after watching your tutorials. Thanks David. I hope the company realizes you are a gem. And a shout-out to the developers for giving me, a serious amateur (by no means a pro) the tools to edit, develop, and print very good photos. Thanks to the software engineers, the hidden gems that are not often acknowledged.

Great video, David. I'm learning so much about editing itself as well as how to use Capture One. The more I learn, the less I seem to need to edit to get a good result. Think that's a good thing? Mind you, I've never managed to get the automatic level tool to work on C1 21!

Thank you-I learned better ways to use C1 features! On a different note, I spotted the sensor dust right away. My first thought was, “Hmm, i wonder if this photo was shot on a Sony camera?” Sure enough, “ARW,” it’s a Sony! I’m convinced that my a7R IV has a built in vacuum that turns on whenever the lens is removed. Maybe Capture One can add a feature in a future update that will automatically search for sensor dust if a Sony RAW file is imported. LOL

:D. Not sure we can blame Sony for this one. It was incredibly windy that day. We even parked the car behind us to act as a wind break, so the fact there was only one dust spot was lucky!

Unfortunately for even slight more challenging cases, the “magic” brush is anything but magic. It’s a pity that in recent years CaptureOne tools are released half-baked and never get improved.
