Your guest is amazing and the sort of person i love to meet. God bless him. We are all different and i realised ages ago i love travelling but had to travel with £560 for return flight visa and departure tax living where i could maybe in a cave or meeting people or camping. Cargo jeeps, busses and cheap train tickets travelling often at night to save and cooking food i bought from local sellers like farmers. I would be so bored on a package deal in torremolinas or Malaga.

I went to pakistan twice in 1997.id flown into kabul in 1995 in transit going to India. My brother had flown into Kabul a year or 2 earlier. I spent a month end jan to end feb 1997 then nearly 3 months during 50th year of 1947. I was in Peshawar and it was celebration on the streets then i went over Lowery Pass to Chitral and went to tirich mir area,, then Garam Chasma 6 miles from the afghan border then Mastuj and then the mid yarkhun valley It was almost unheard of at the time and i could count the number of tourists travellers i saw on one hand but it was such a buzz meeting locals and starting to understand and realise how much the BBC and government lies about it. Show respect and the people are so friendly. Its the best travels ive ever had especially round the hindu kush.

@@newin548people’s circumstances change ..i had a mortgage when i was 18 doing really well ..got married when i was 20 then had my boys but got divorced when i was 28 and had to go bankrupt..just because someone has a mortgage doesnt mean they have money..i was lucky i had 5k for the deposit cause i got blinded in one of my eyes at 5 so had compensation
