So basically its capture by reference in closure, where it captures from surroundings. var 'input' store current input from closure. A better understanding can be done just by writing this code below print(c). let op1 = execute() let d = op1(3) print("Value of d -> \(d)") let e = op(20) print("Value of e -> \(e)") //// Output//// Value of d -> 3 Value of e -> 50 Please have a look on value of e its still increments from last 30 and added 20 to make 50.
