Car Combat Game Update 1

Hi, guys! Today I bring some updates about the game I've been working on. The main ones are the following:
- 2 new weapons (homing missile and flamethrower)
- new machine gun sfx and hit vfx
- target system
- weapon selection
- explosions vfx
- debug controls to add weapons, add enemies and change camera (for now)
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hey, this game looks like a fun concept rn. I feel your biggest challenge will be the fact that combat needs very different things than driving which might make for clunky switches. Basically the following: lets say your player is enjoying the driving part a lot and suddenly there are enemies and he now has to stop driving to aim well to shoot before he can continue. One of the ways to get around this is to integrate the two mechanics. How about if you go fast enough you can ram kill?(maybe even have some speedup effect after getting a kill so the fight reinforces the driving and the other way around)Also the missles need some sort of big feedback so player doesnt have to look back while driving to see if the rocket hit. Other than that i think the simple gun just shooting forward is okay for the james bond effect. It could shoot tires and you could elliminate others like that. These are just my ideas, i'm a long time game designer so i felt i could give some cuntructive feedbaack

Thank you very much for the feedback especially because I know nothing about game design so I'm just trying to mix concepts from games that I liked haha About the aiming I'm thinking something like it works in vigilante 8 or twisted metal, so you don't need to aim just select the target and shoot.

hey, great stuff. I'm really curious about the missile trail effect you were able to achieve. Do you mind pointing me in the right direction to get a similar effect ? I need it for my RTS game rockets
