We just bought a Hyundai Kona and tried several different KZfaq videos. Several meaning 10 or more with no luck on getting our 20 year old garage door opener to program with the Homelink. This worked perfectly!!! Took 1 minute. Thanks

This is exactly what I needed. Thank you! The Homelink instructions were extremely poor - it wasn't clear that while going through their flow chart of steps that you had to first use the existing remote on Homelink before learning with the garage door opener. The only think that I think was slightly different for me was that my door didn't open on the 3rd press but the 4th.

FINALLY...2012 BMW X5 and Chamberlain opener, neither vehicle or opener programming instructions worked. By following the instructions in this video, programming in the car AND VIA THE OPENER LEARN BUTTON step, the two step process is the only method that has worked so far. THANK YOU

Wow, thank you! I just got a 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan with Homelink to work with my Chamberlain GD opener thanks to your method. Just one variation, after pressing the 'Learn' button on the head unit, I only had to press the 'trained' button in the van twice for it to work!

I have been frustrated to a point of disgust trying to get my Overhead Door and '16 Mustang to talk to each other. The car manual, the door manual, and various youtube videos all failed me and I was questioning my ability to follow simple instructions. This video gave me steps that worked on the first attempt. Now, maybe my prior attempts put the door remote into the proper state, or maybe my fumbling got the car into a state that made it receptive to these particular instructions - I don't know. But, my door now works from the car and I can move the door remote into a second car that does not have a built-in opener. Thank you for your helpful instructions.

This video is really helpful. I have tried following instructions from the manual and watching other videos. They didn't work because they tell you that you need to only do step 1 or do step 2 and 3, but I had to do all 3 steps.
