My First experience at Manheim Car Auction was Exhausting lol. Watch and learn from My Process

Auto auctio s pick up are always are a pain in the ass what I tried to do if I frequently go to the same auction I go to one of the security or employees who work the yard and make a deal call ahead give them the vin,s they pull the cars then you tip them 100 dollars or less depending on how many cars it saves you so much time and they make little extra cash

Going to cdl school soon. Going to put 2-3 years in then go hot shot in car hauling. I'm a single woman no kids so i dont need much to live off of.

I like doing Manheim the most and Copart sometimes but keep the 6.0 pushing, it’s a beast.

Fosho, you see i had that 6.0 loaded! I got me from A to B lol and Manheim not bad it was just my first time but they get you in and out

Quick hack at Manheim, they have vehicle locators and you can always access it by scanning a QR code that’s usually at the entrance where you check in…once you scan, a page pops up and you can look up a vehicle using the work order number or last 4 or 6 numbers of the vin..and if the layout doesn’t make sense to you once the page opens up and you see where your vehicle is, just go to the nearest car and enter it’s work order number of the last of the vin..that will give you an idea of where you are in relation to where your vehicle is.

Yeah, but the best way is go on the website called Manheim lot vision, enter which Manheim your at and like you said enter the work order number and it shows you where the car is. Then you can turn on share your location and it literally guides you to the car. Once I figured that out I was good .

Question: are you getting enough loads to cover all your over head with the 3 car hauler? I’m thinking of purchasing a 2 car hauler, here in Texas, but the insurance quote I received of $1300 a month is extremely high compared to how much work I can haul with the 2 car hauler. Fuel, maintenance and other cost makes it questionable. Thanks

yes and no, a 3 car trailer can earn good money depending on the loads you book but honestly, when first starting your authority , your first 3 to 6 months is going to be hard because its going to be hard getting work from brokers . it will really depend on who you are able to sign on with and how you choose to run , meaning which type of loads you books, yes the insurance sucks starting out so my only advice I would give you is to hustle as hard , pickup whatever loads available to you or you can try to lease on under someone else authority starting out that way you wont need insurance or get your insurance and still lease on with a company to let your authority age . some transport companies will let you run under their authority but you'll have to do your research on that ,

No Problem and oh ok well one benefit of having your own authority is that you can pick and choose when, where and how you want to work . just remember what I said, them first 3 to 6 months are the hardest but if you can find a broker/shipper or company like a copart or auction that pays decent you can make a living and maintain your expenses .
