Hi Brian _ your videos are very educational and clear on the details, can you please tell me, what's the name of the plastic you're using to cover the entire body of the car - if you have a supplier name, please provide me with the details .

Painting the whole part instead of a normal cut in is genius. I can't believe I haven't thought of that before, when you think about it it really does make everything easier, cleaner, and probably even cheaper on overhead cost. I'm gonna start doing that at work

Slower (reducer/activator) is faster. I like to adjust the pressure at the wall to with in 10lbs of where I like to spray. Open the gauge up all the way and make small adjustments there. Really good tutorial Brian!

Brian, I love your videos and how well you show and explain the way and skills you need to paint properly and professionally for us who like to learn how to do it ourselves, that been said, I’d like to paint my dad’s Mustang in a matte or satin black color and it would be nice if you consider to make a video on how to get that type of finish done correctly with the amazing results you always come up with. I salute you and I hope you think about it. Thank you

I've been painting for over 30 years. I painted some really excellent paint jobs. Sometimes things don't work out the later supposed to. I appreciate your video. It just goes to show you're never too old to learn. Sometimes not sure why your clear coats not laying down right or the orange peel. You explained it well! 👍👍 Thank you! Happy New Year! Keep up the good work.

HI Brian, I think this is actually the best video you have ever done. I'm not just saying that. The way you explained things on the white board was awesome. Doing this technique really helps me and I'm sure others to understand EXACTLY what is going on. It really helped to solidify all of the other information you have been telling us up to this point. You have talked about different types of guns numerous times but you never explained exactly how and why the different opening sizes will impact the paint. The same goes for the explanation on reducer. I would suggest incorporating some white board explanations into all of your videos if possible. I'm not ready to paint my car but have been watching your videos for over a year now. My car is currently in bare metal and hopefully in the next 3 months I will have it in primer!

@@brandonhensen7703 you've probably gotten the answer by now but if not, the red- max inlet of 20psi (US compliant), uses 300L/min, with a 1.4 uses 150ml/min, and 12in fan. Gold- runs on 29psi (non compliant in US), uses 370L/min, with a 1.4 uses 200ml/min, and has a 15.4in fan

Hi Brian and the PS crew. Thank you for all the content you produce. I’ve been enjoying learning from your vids, down here I Australia. I was wondering if you have any plans to do any videos about engine bays. I’ve recently completed my first ever painting project in my garage at home, which was the engine bay in my ‘83 Holden VH Commodore (Australia’s GM arm). We had a bit of rust repair, panel beating, filler, a lot of wire wheeling, all Followed by epoxy primer, 2k surfacer, and finished with Debeer COB. I ended up flow coating to get rid of the orange peel. While I was researching and figuring out how to proceed with the help of content like yours and others, I found that there is a distinct lack of engine bay specific videos. The thing is that some of the tips and tricks that everyone teaches on panels, can’t be directly used on bays, because of the all the high spots and nooks and crannies. One big example I found was that once the initial stripping is done, there is almost no machine sanding possible. I actually had two tiny rubs through during flow coat. That led to fry ups when I was fixing it up. It’s all finished now and I’m happy with the result. I’d love to see how someone like yourself would tackle this kind of restoration job, and see how you might do things differently. Thanks again, and keep up the good work. You guys shit on us Aussies when it comes producing good car content. 👍 Nikolai Canberra, ACT

This is a very helpfull video for beginners, but i have a question: i read a manual about paint defects that a cause of solvent pop can be due to the use of crappy sprayguns( so large dropplets full of solvent and layers more thick) and i also read that some solvents are released during atomization (if you use a professional spraygun). Is it correct?

Sprayed black urethane primer , black urethane base both great. Sprayed clear coat , first coat blotchy, resanded . Second coat same. Checked pressure did test spray, that was ok . Third try clear was not even. Thicker in spots. Will say I was trying the impossible. Painting outside in sun. Lost access to paint booth and could not find garage rental. Live in Nothern Ky not many diy ers here. Put on hold until I can get inside. Not as easy as it seems. Did all he said used 1.3 nozzle. It kicked my butt.
