@@impRZA I can buy chinese ramps, so can I buy chinese surgery online as well? 😄 As fore those ramps, for a Golf-sized car on hard surface, they are more than strong enough if diagonal supports are added to both pillars. I would also connect the ramps together from bottom as well, then they would be even more stable. Now the surface against the floor seems uncomfortably narrow.

It is interesting to see this sort of ramp in action, with the way it sorta pivots in the middle. There is a used car lot near me with some, and I had never seen them in use before, always wondering how harsh and how forceful on the front legs they were. I was thinking of making a set myself. The main difference with how I would make them, would be to make them a bit wider, and join them at the ends with some pipe, possibly using a pin system to adjust the width. I would probably just make the platforms wide enough to accomedate a variety of track widths and make the spacing of the ramps fixed.

It would be good if there were cross pieces when you have a car on it. To keep it from collapsing sideways. But you have been using it for 5 years now and no problem. But it only have to go wrong once and then it's lights out. If you know what I mean.
